I have a fun giveaway for those of you with any of the Safeway family of stores in your area!  They have generously offered one MFA reader a $25 gift card card as well as a spring baking kit from Betty Crocker.  The kit includes:

  • A stainless steel mixing bowl
  • silicon backing pan
  • oven mitt
  • and a mixing spoon

In addition, you can head into Safeway Family stores from March 24- April 6th and score Betty Crocker cake mixes or brownie mixes for just .69!  To make it even better, you can head over HERE to Bake Sweet Memories and save exclusive e-coupons onto your club cards!

You can also get recipes and decorating ideas for springtime baking.  Yum!

If you would like to enter to win, you have 4 chances:

1. Leave a comment below letting me know what spring time traditions your family has!  Sadly we don’t have any other than my annual need to organize and clean every spring!

2. Subscribe to my newsletter or RSS feed (or let me know you do!)

4. Become a fan on Facebook (or let me know you are!)

We always get pictures made with the Easter bunny! Last year our youngest was 2 and refused to be in the photo. Hopefully, we’ll be able to get all 3 kids in the shot this year!

My neighborhood has a barbeque at our local park the first Saturday in April. One person is in charge of the grill or charcoal (we rotate) and everyone brings their own meat and a pot luck item. Fun!

We have a special park we visit around Easter every year. We take a picnic and go and play. This basically started because the park my hubby’s family usually went to was full one year, they got lost looking for another one, and ended up at this one!

Spring time cleaning. On Saturday mornings we (the 4 kids, husband and myself) cleanout a drawer, closet, under bed storage, cabinet etc. This way the kids don’t feel overwhelmed or like their Saturday is ‘ruined’.
