Here is the CVS for beginners recommendation for the week thanks to $30 Weekly Grocery Challenge.
We have two transactions- if you don’t need diapers just skip that second one!
Transaction #1
Buy 2 Oral-B Advantage Toothbrushes $2.99 each
Use BOGO coupon from 3/7 P&G insert
And use $1/1 coupon from 2/21 P&G insert
Pay: $1.99 and Get Back $2 ECBs!
Final Cost: 2 FREE toothbrushes
Transaction #2
Buy 2 Huggies Diapers or Pullups $17.98/2
Use 2 $3/1 printable
Use the $2 ECBs from transaction #1
Pay: $9.98 and Get Back $5 ECBs!
Final Cost: $2.49 per pack!
You can read all about CVS right HERE and be sure to visit the coupon scanner at your store to see if you get lucky! There are $2/10 any Baby Purchase CVS coupons printing so be sure to use that on the diapers deal if you get it!!
Anu says
If we count the toothbrushes to be free then the huggies should be 3.49 per pack since we are using the $2 ECB from Transaction #1, right?
Jenna says
I’m with you on that one, Anu. We can’t count them twice…
Charlene, I think it’s so awesome you set these scenarios for us! The last couple weeks I’ve been thinking of what I can do based on my own needs (for Walgreens mainly but CVS too now that I have a card) and LOVE seeing how much I can save/how much extra (I’ve been good and for the most part don’t buy randomly just because I have the “extra” money) I can afford using RR or ECB’s. Thanks so much for all your hard work!

I got an amazing deal at CVS today! I bought 2 packs of Huggies, used 2 $3 off coupons, plus got a $2/10 baby product coupon at the scanner, bringing the packs down to $2.50 a piece after ECB’s. I also got 4 cans of Olives and used 2 $1/2 coupons, making them .38 cents each and got 1 dozen eggs for .77 cents. I also had a $5/20 CVS coupon, and so after all my coupons and ECB’s, I ended up getting everything for $3.29!

also, if you live in Northern California, we’ll know on Wed if they have the $5 off $20 coupons! they didn’t this past week but did the week before. it seems like its not every week, but every other week now ๐

I tried to use the $3/1 coupon for huggies on the pull ups and they wouldn’t let me. ๐ good luck to others. Luckily I still had the $2 off one pull up coupon so it was still a good deal.
Spendwisemom says
Can you use a BOGO and a $1 off in the same transaction? I thought you are only allowed one coupon if it is a BOGO.
Charlene says
Boo Amy! You can get $2 off coupons for Pull Ups here as well:

What a great day at cvs.i had 9 ecb from last weeks pampers and easter candy. 2-$3 huggies, 1 cvs $2 off $10 baby item, $1 off listerine. i bought 2 packs huggies and 1 listerine for $2 cash and received $5 ecb!!! I made $3.

I did not have the $1 off coupon, only the BOGO. The receipt shows that $3.79 (presale price) was taken off instead of $2.99. I will definitely keep my eye out for BOGOs in the future.
