I just ran out to get a few things tonight- namely the Method Laundry Soap!  Is it sad that I am excited about a laundry soap with a pump?  Maybe I should get out more.

Anyhoo,  here is the trip.

Babies R Us: $4.28

Did the deal I told you about HERE.  I did 2 transactions because the BRU coupons have a limit of 1.  I paid $2.14 for each bottle.

Savemart: $7.71
I am finding the best produce deals at Savemart lately!
Bananas $1.10
Grapes $4.19
Kiwi $1 for 3
Roma Tomatoes $1.47

CVS $3.78– I got a $5/15 coupon from the scanner when I went in! Whoo hoo!
Eggs $1.50
2 Planters Nuts on clearance $1.62 & $1.50- used $1/2 coupon
2 cans Lindsay Olives $1- used $1/2 coupon
2 Planters Almonds $1.20- used $1/2 coupon
Purex Laundry Soap $6.29 BOGO- used the BOGO coupon coming in this weekend’s inserts (I get it early)
2 Aquafresh $4.99- Buy One Get one 50% off- used $4/1 from CVS and (2) $1/1 from inserts
***NOTE: CA CVS deals are different than the rest of the country!

Walmart $6.80
2 packs of Land o Frost Lunch Meat $2.97- used $2 off coupons
Deli Creations $1.86- used $1 coupon
2 Lindsay Olives .98 each- used $1/2 coupon
2 Walmart Brand Spices .50 each
2 Uncrustables $2- used $1/1 coupons
5 Yo Baby .94- used (5) $1/1 coupons

So I spent about $22 and have $28 left to get a few more items at Safeway tomorrow.  How did your trips go?  I’d love to hear about the great deals you scored!

All your shopping adventures always seem so fun and rewarding. One of my resolutions this year was to try to be more frugal! Thanks for keeping me on track.

They have been stingy lately. Also I haven’t been in a few weeks. So I think they are generous to get me back in the store!

Was your Purex sale BOGO or buy one get one for 1 cent? I’m trying to figure out if I used the BOGO coupon-would I only pay .01? Or would I only get a discount of .01? I hate when I get confused about this?!?!

I am a little new to this, but yesterday I went to Target and saw that they had the Olay Body Wash(with sample attached) for 5.50. If you purchase 3 you got a $5 gift card. I also snagged the venus razors for $6.99 ea and used one coupon for $2 and the coupons for buy one razor get olay body wash free! So I spent $11.98 and got 2 Venus razors and 3 body washes and $10 in gift cards back! Yeah!

Did you get the pruex for free if it is on BOGO and you had a BOGO coupon?

I also got one of the $5/15 at CVS yesterday, I was so excited! I bought:
2 Digiorno Pizzas (BOGO for a penny, so $7.00 for 2) -$2 MF coupons
2 Covergirl Clean Pressed Powder $12/2 (Buy 2 get $5 ECB) -$1 MF coupon and -BOGO Free CG Face Product MF Coupon
3 bags of Dove Dark Chocolate $1.99/ea -$1 off one bag ($5.97 -$3)
2 Crest Enamel toothpaste $3.50/ea ($3.50 ECB each) I had used my .75 coupon earlier in the week or it could have been a moneymaker
Total before coupons: $31.97 – $5/15 = $26.97 – $10 MF coupons = $16.97 I used ECB’s to pay for most of it ($10.98 from Dove a few weeks ago) and received $12 in ECBs from the transaction making the total for all of it $4.97. It would have been $2 but I really wanted that Dove chocolate and for some reason it doesn’t last very long on clearance around here.

You can typically use a bogo coupon on a bogo sale. Sometimes cashiers will refuse it but for the most part I don’t have problems. It is actually written into the coupon policy for Rite Aid. Typically the free one advertised is paid for by the store and the free one from your coupon is paid for by the manufacturer.

How do you get the coupons (or even the ads) early?

I did the purex deal too, love getting the inserts early!

Becky that is great but to make it better you can actually get a $15 rebate check back. I posted the details here:

It was BOGO- our ads are different here in CA. I actually had this conversation yesterday with some coupon bloggers because there are BOGO for one cent deals at Rite Aid next week. We decided you would get .01 off so you waste your coupon. Typically a bogo takes off the lower priced item is what my thought is.

I live in Ohio and got my coupons early as well. I went to cvs and used my BOGO coupon on the Purex our deal was the BOGO for a penny. I only had to pay the penny. My total for 2 bottles was .45 which was just the tax plus penny. Thank you so much for posting about this deal. I was able to stock up on laundry soap.

So I just barely remembered to use my BRU gift card! I went to my local TRUs store last night at 8:15! But I got some GREAT deals! I found fabreeze for .98, which was free after my $1/1 coupon, some laundry detergent for $2.98 (free after $3 in store coupon) Stacies Pita chips for $1.98 (got 4 and used 4 $1 coupons) Lightly salted Kettle chips for $1.98 (got 2 and used 2 $1 off coupons) and Huggies Natural baby shampoo (my 8 year old loves the tear free shampoo) marked down to $1.98, bought 3 and was able to use the in store coupon for $2 off 3 products. After my free $5 gift card, I paid a total of $4.80! I was very pleased! (my toys r us was out of the method laundry soap…)
