I was surprised to find a Big Lots ad in my paper this weekend! I almost never get them and if you also got an ad you might want to head over to Target!
Big Lots has All Laundry Soap 32 loads priced at $2.50 each- take the entire ad to Target and get a price match.
There are several coupons to make this a great deal:
Use $1/1 HERE = $1.50
Use $3/2 from 1/3 RP= $1 each
Use $2/1 from 1/3 RP= $.50 each (the coupon amount varied according to region)
I am a fan of All and my buy price for 32 loads is $1.50 so I will be stocking up!
Thanks Heather!
And if you are wondering why you can’t just buy it at Big Lots- Big Lots will not accept coupons. Heather also checked with her Walmart and was told they would not price match Big Lots ads- so you may not have success there.

that was my understanding about Big Lots too.

I’ve heard you mention your “buy price” several times now. Would you please consider doing a post about that with some (or a lot) of your buy prices for different products listed? I’ve been faithfully couponing for 3 months now, and sometimes I wonder if I’m really getting as good a deal on things as I think I am!
Thanks for doing such a great job on this blog! You have saved my family tons of money with all your excellent suggestions!
Love,
Kareah

Wow, does Target really price match Big Lots? Has anyone done this?

I just did this transaction. She was a bit hesitant to do it because it was not the blue bottle of All. She called for the manager and she said it was fine. I got 6 for $7 My Walmart is in Roseville off of 65.

That’s my Walmart too! Glad that worked for you!

Where is the coupon to print? What zip code are you using? THank you.
admin says
I just clicked on the link and it is there with no zip code. It is for the 50oz which is the 2x not the Small and Mighty- FYI.

My Target had 32 loads of All on clearance for $4.24. I used the $2 off coupon to get it for $2.24. $2.50 a bottle is a great price if you can combine coupon.
Here’s a pic of my Target shopping trip:

Hey Charlene,
I’m a bit confused on the coupons. I thought that Target only allows one manufacturer coupon per item (group of items if -i.e. $1 off 2)? Your scenario uses 3 manufacturer coupons for two bottles of detergent.
Use $1/1 HERE = $1.50
Use $3/2 from 1/3 RP= $1 each
Use $2/1 from 1/3 RP= $.50 each
Shelley says
Ignore my previous comment. I guess it’s too early in the morning to be doing math. Sorry.
admin says
No the scenario shows the 3 different coupons that are available and what the final price is if you use them. Only one coupon per item.

My Target told me they won’t match Big Lots bc it’s a “discount store”
Danielle says
my target won’t price match either 🙁

I was able to take advantage of this deal at Walmart. She said they didn’t take Big Lots ads, but I raised the point that the ad does say “compare at $3.99” and Walmart had it for $3.97, so it is not like it began at a higher price. I was able to get 9 – 32oz bottles of the white Sensitive Skin kind for HE for a total of $8.66. Thanks so much!

My Wal-mart also price matched this item. They told me that they will not price match Big Lots items if they are advertised as a “Close out Deal”. Since this is a regularly carried item, they price matched it. I got 6 – 32oz bottles of Small & Mighty HE for $7.00.

Just got back from Big Lots empty handed….They do not accept mfg cpns since they are a discount store. They do not issue rain checks, and they get consignments only once a week. I will however try the All deal at Walmart tomorrow. I’m in Az. How did Angela and Cheyenne accomplish these deals?? Did Walmart do price match @ 2 for 5?
michelle says
Ooops, just read the post Charlene. So then will Target do a price match?
admin says
I don’t understand why people are going to Big Lots? Is the post unclear? Let me change the wording so it is more clear. THIS IS A PRICE MATCH DEAL- you can not go to Big Lots. You have to go to Target or Walmart to price match. Some Walmarts are refusing to honor a Big Lots ad so I would recommend Target. You can always call both of your stores to double check.
admin says
Yes. You can get the link to the price match policy by looking at my last Target deals post. It is right in the box at the top of the post.

The $2 off any 1 ALL detergent from the 1/3 insert is expired. The expiration date was 1/10.
admin says
There is a $2 off from 1/3 that is listed as expiring 2/7. I just double checked my coupon which is the $3/2 and it says 2/7. If yours has expired than you can use the $1 printable or the $3/2.

One more newbie question. I went to Target yesterday to try to do this, but they said they couldn’t do it at the register and that I had to go over to the customer service counter. I was in a hurry so didn’t have time to do so. Is this what you usually have to do to get a price-match? This was the Target on Douglas in Roseville.
Cheyenne says
Yes, at Target (at least in my local area) all price matching has to be done at the Customer Service Counter.
Admin- I think your wording was just fine, I understood it. I did ask my Big Lots just in case to see if they took coupons. They said no. I said “Thank you” and grabbed an ad.
Michelle- It was difficult to get them to do it. The cashier had to call to get approval. The customer service manager told me they did not match Big Lots ads. I raised the point that this was an item normally carried by Big Lots and Wal-Mart and that the ad states “Compare to $3.99” which is also the price Wal-Mart normally charges. Because the original price was the same for both Big Lots and Wal-Mart she honored it. I was extremely lucky she honored it. I only went to Walmart because in my experience they have a larger quantity of HE detergents and I had enough coupons to get 9 and that’s what I wanted to get, which coincidentally was exactly how many they had.
Melissa says
I went to Super Walmart(Antelope) today and they told me that their “new” policy is to not accept coupons on a price matched item. I asked if they had a printable coupon policy and was told that the employees just “know not to accept them”. What a crock!
