NOW This was an email that was sent out.  I contacted Safeway and it appears to be ONLY available in Northern California.  I was told that is might roll out in other markets soon.  Let us know if you see this promotion in other markets or if you get a similiar email! (Appears to be confirmed in the NW as well!)

safeway free items Also, I looked ahead to tomorrow’s ad and it looks like there will be 4 FREE items with a $50 purchase at Safeway.  These coupons are in the NW ad- so we have to cross our fingers that they are available nationwide.  This might turn into a fantastic deal!

When did the email come out? I didn’t get one and I’m in NorCal, too. I know I’ve registered for the emails. Anything else I need to do?

Just be patient Sandy- they send these things out in batches. I didn’t get the email yet either- Julia is in the bay area and she got the email. I usually get these types of emails a little later than other people. Same with Right at Home- I get them a day after everyone seems to get them.

There are so many great coupons this week for Safeway! the fine print on the free coupons says that the $50 is AFTER club card and manufactures coupons. I hope that you will post any scenarios you are thinking about! Thanks for everything you do-I love that I have found NorCal coupon blog!!

So, I went to Safeway today, purchased $150 worth of stuff (of course only paid $43), but did not receive any Kohl’s cash. I asked the manager, and she said that the total had to be after coupons. Soooo…I called Safeway corporate, and the person I spoke to confirmed that it had to be after coupons.

Let me know if you hear anything different.

Oh no! That is awful. OK let me see what others are finding and I’ll update.

I also called the corporate and safeway store nearby, the confirmed that it is after all the Safeway coupons and manufacturer coupons. Also, if you are buying any items to get rebate, remember to get separate receipts so you send to different places for rebates. I bought the Nestle chocolate chips and Glade on the same transactions so I can only send 1 rebate because they are on the same receipts…

Thanks for calling to check Sal. I always find that I have more information than Safeway does when I call 🙂
