Giveaway for Mom! (2) Eileen Goudge Books

This post may contain affiliate links, please see my disclosure policy.

OK once upon a time I used to read a novel a week. Then we had our toddler and I would read a novel a month. Then we had baby #2 and I started blogging and now I read a novel a year. So I was excited to get Once In Blue Moon by Eileen Goudge to review.
.
I was glad to have a reason to actually sit down a read a book again! I hadn’t heard of Eileen Goudge before but she gets great reviews from the critics and I can see why many people love her novels. Once Upon a Blue Moon is the story of two sisters separated when they are little and placed in foster homes. One gets placed in a loving home and the other sister is bounced around to awful foster families.

They lead two very different lives and then reconnect years later. The story is all about whether or not they can become a family again. So if you want something that will draw you in quickly, with a very compelling storyline than I have the book for you!
.
One to One Network is generously offering one reader a copy of Once in a Blue Moon as well as another Eileen Goudge bestselling book, Lady in Red.
.
This is just a quick 24 hour giveaway. If you’d like to enter just leave me a comment and tell me how/when you fit reading into your busy schedule? The contest will end Wednesday 21st at 9pm PST. Please leave your email address so I can contact the winner!
.
Disclosure: I was not compensated in anyway for this review. The opinions expressed are my own. I was provided a copy of the book by One to One Networks.

Hi there! I am a mom and a full time reading specialist! I fit my reading in during class when I am modeling "good reading habits" to my students.

I used to devour books before kids…Now I find late evenings or business trips are the best! I can read a book while waiting on flights, on the plane, and it is a great way to pass time in the hotels!

I read after everyone has gone to bed and usually stay up WAY too late!

I miss reading, but when I can I prefer to sneak in a few mins right after putting the kids to bed. Great way to unwind after a long day.

I leave books around the house and when I see both kids are playing and are content in what they are doing I sit near them and read a chapter or two.

I used to read a book in and i kid you not an hour or two and now it seems like it will take me months to finish one…this kinda saddens me but with everyday activities and life in general it just hard to find the time…But when I do find time it tends to be late at night in bed when everyone is fast asleep.

I too miss reading whenever I want but I like to cozy up and read a chapter or two (it's soo hard to stop sometimes!) in bed to whine down.

I don't read as much as I did before I had my son, but it's still important to me. If I'm idle, I'm usually reading a book or a magazine. My son has picked up on it and has really gotting into books over the last few months. He's in second grade and is currently reading a book fom the fifth grade section of his school library!

I loveto read and try to fit it in late at night after the kids are in bed. Of course, I usually flip through all the free magazines first, because I get engrossed in a book and stay up too late and drag myself around for the next couple of days!

I used to read oodles & oodles but my eyes are getting weaker and my reading started slowing down.. I just couldnt understand it.. lol.
Eventually I got reader cheaters and I can read again. ๐Ÿ˜‰
I grab a book when Im on my way to my nightly soak in the tub.. and then for a few minutes after I get in bed while I wind down..
Occationally, I'll spend an entire day in bed reading on the weekend.. course that just happened once or twice in the last year.. ๐Ÿ˜€

I don't get to read nearly as much as I used to- I've got a 2 year old and a 9 month old. I am an Engllish teacher, so most of my reading takes place in class. Romeo and Juliet, anyone? ๐Ÿ™‚

Like you, and others here, I find it hard to have or make time for reading especially books, since I started couponing a month ago! I do read when I can although sometimes I read standing up. I'm especially interested in the book because I take care of foster children. In fact, that's why I read standing up when cooking or doing misc. things. When I sit there's a little one wanting to climb in my lap! ๐Ÿ™‚

I used to read several novels a month. Sometimes many a week. Now I am the mom to six awesome kids. Although I still love to read as an escape from the craziness of life, I too, find it hard to squeeze in time. Sometimes I find time right before I go to sleep. I also try to have one with me when running errands so that if I am waiting at the doctors, or football practice, etc. I can read then. I have looked at this book at the store and have wanted to read it!! Thanks for the chance!!!

Reading a book? That is not in my vocabulary with two kids. I mostly read magazines these days. I really want to make more time for myself and reading novels is something I enjoy. I think if I win this novel I will schedule a much needed pedicure and start reading again!!

I love to read and have not read this book or author. When I had my kids the only place I could read for a few minutes was the bathroom. I would tell them that mom needed privacy and spend as much time as I could in the bathroom with my book. I could use a new read for my bathroom.

On those nights that I don't fall into bed after midnight and pass out immediately, I read with a booklight in bed. It really relaxes me and helps me think about something other than my to-do list. Plus, by using the booklight, I don't have to get up to turn the light off!

I get to read for about 30 minutes a day while I'm in the sauna at the gym. It's great! I get to detox my body and relax with a good book at the same time. I LOVE my sauna time and actually wish I could stay in there longer then 30 minutes without passing out so that I could keep reading! ๐Ÿ™‚ Having two new books to read while I sauna would be awesome!
