I know there are a handful of readers in Placer County now and I wanted to be sure you all know that the Thursday issue of the Placer Herald and the Roseville Tribune contain extra copies of the coupons. It used to be advance copies and now they have the advance of the Red Plum and P&G and a duplicate copy of the prior week’s Smart Source. Since I live in Rocklin I get a copy delivered right to my doorstep for free. You might make a trip to the store on a great week and spend .50 on the paper rather than an extra $1.50 on Sunday.
Also, I just went through my Herald from Thursday and discovered a $5/25 coupon for the Loomis Raley’s. Yeah! You just need to spend $25 BEFORE coupons which isn’t hard to do at Raley’s.
Has anyone else spotted advance inserts in their local paper? I am pretty sure the Sac Bee does not have them. The spine of the insert lists the Auburn Journal, Chico Record, Grass Valley Union, Modesto Bee, Redding Record, Stockton Record, and the Tahoe Daily Tribune so those should all have copies in them as well!

It just shows up on my doorstep. I think they distribute to all of Rocklin on Thursdays only for free. I have no idea why- my new house doesn't get the service but all my neighbors do and I always drive by looking greedily at the papers just sitting in the gutters. So sad.

If you live in Placer County you can buy them within city limits. If you live in Sacramento you can try the Bee- I honestly haven't checked that one. I usually find them at gas stations or I have a paper dispenser for the Placer Herald at my Safeway.
I live in Tennessee but all my family is in the Sacramento area. I've gotten into couponing out here and am trying to get my family in to it. Thanks for the info…I'll be passing it on. 🙂 I've heard that only Bee subscribers receive the inserts. Besides, after what they have done to State Employees my family doesn't want to support them…
I love the Placer Herald b/c its so cheap! It doesn't always have all the inserts like the Bee but you can't beat 50 cents! I've been so spoiled lately with friends and family giving me there inserts that I haven't bought the Bee till the other day. The price went up to $2!!!
