I decided to participate in Orgjunkie’s Monthly Organizing Round-up, which focused on organizing your vehicle. I wanted to use this as my weekly WFMW post as well since I think it is a constant challenge when you have littles to keep the car clean.
Here are a few things that work for us (most of the time).
This has bottles of water, an extra bottle and premeasured formula for the baby, as well as a few snacks for my toddler (and for mom on busy days). I keep granola bars, crackers, rice cakes etc.. in snack bags. This is kept right behind the drivers seat so it is easily accessible in case of a toddler melt down.
I have at least 10 tote bags that I take everywhere. I used to have a problem remembering them but now I consider the bags part of putting away the groceries. Once everything gets put away, the last step is to put the bags back in the car. I keep them all folded and tucked into a big tote.
I find it easier to have one bag for my toddler and one for my infant. I keep all the neccessities in each bag as well as swimming diapers and a few toys. Since most of our friends and family have pools, I never have to run home to get her things if we want to stop off at someone’s house. I also keep a thick blanket in the trunk area so I have a comfortable spot for diaper changes on the road. It is also easier to toss this in the washing machine after taking our dog to the park or the lake.
So that is it! Not very exciting but that is what works for me to stay clean and organized in the car. The only thing I want to add is a first aid kit. I posted last week about my obsession with reusing wipes tubs and got a tip to use a wipes tub in the car to hold first aid supplies. Genius!

Great job! I normally participate in the round-ups and had planned to work on my hubby's truck, but I just couldn't get around to it this month.

Your snack bag is great. I need to pack something like that. Too many times we are out and longer than expected with NO SNACKS.
