Safeway: The early edition

Since today is the last day of Power Pump rewards and I need gas, I decided to do my weekend shopping early. My total after club card and before coupons was about $60. I paid $17.49 and got $12 in catalinas for my next purchase. I indicated the Chill at Home items in blue and the mix and match items in orange. **Just found a bag with two tubs of wipes and 2 Angel Soft that wasn’t included in the photo.
Here is the breakdown:

Brown Sugar $1.39

Bertolli Pasta Pouches x2 = $3 – $2 (used 1/1 blinkies) = $1 and got the $2 OYNO catalina

Pace Salsa $3.89- used IP to get this free **Please see post above regarding this IP.

Angel Soft TP x2= $1.50

Sfwy Potatoes $2.99

Morningstar Veggie Meat Products x3= $3.49 each- used $1/1 catalina from prior purchase

Kellogg’s Bake Shop Twists x2= $4- used (2) .75/1 blinkies in front of the product

Klondike Ice Cream- $2.50 (this should have been part of the Chill at Home promo but I don’t think it worked this week. My cat did not print and I went to customer service- they gave me back the catalina I had just used as the item was marked with a blue tag.

Boca Burgers x 2= $7.00

Huggies Wipes x2= $4.00- used (2) $1/1 MQ

Suave Lotion- $2.50 used free item coupon

Safeway Artisan Fruit Tart- $3.79- used $3/1 store coupon

Rancher’s Reserve Steak $2.95- used $2/1 store coupon

Sfwy Select Croutons .75- used $1/1 Sfwy coupon (see my post from yesterday regarding this coupon)- got $.25 overage

3lb Fuji Apples- $1.99

Organic Grape Tomatoes- $2.50- used $1/1 store coupon

Pineapple $3.99- used $1/1 store coupon and $.75/1 IP that can be found on the toolbar to the right

The prices indicated are AFTER the $5 mix and match promo credit to simplify. I used a $10/50 store coupon and used a $10 catalina I received last week for the Chill at Home Promo.

We have been eating a lot more processed food the last few weeks due to the great freezer promo. I have stockpiled a lot and am very happy to have so much Morningstar/ Boca products since they are typically very expensive. It is worth it to me to keep rolling this deal to stock up on vegetarian items that rarely have coupons.

I am lucky to have a lot of store coupons from a grand reopening but you can do this too! In Northern CA we don’t have doubles so if you live in a market that does you can easily get great deals as well.

Great job! We’ve been eating more processed food, too–like Texas Toast–but it tasted really good. ๐Ÿ™‚
