Well here we go with the children’s shoes again.  As you guys know I happen to have a serious weakness for them.  And I was very excited to check out the Eleven Collection, which are shoes for children aged 3-8.  Eleven is the sister company to See Kai Run and I happen to love See Kai Run!

So we had a chance to check out the Chloe Berry shoes from the new Spring/Summer collection.

These had all the qualities that I have come to love from See Kai Run:

• Super durable.  I know these are not inexpensive shoes but they will last forever.  The leather is thick but still soft.  Your little one can wear these without socks and the feet are protected and very well cushioned.
• Thick soles.  These are the best ever.  They are super strong so these are made for the playground.  I also like the non slip soles as I know my little monkey can run and play and she is not going to slip and fall.
• Designs.  These are just so darn cute.  Even though the designs are bright I find that we only need 1 or 2 shoes per size because these just match everything. I find these can dress up a casual outfit and they are perfect for something a little nicer.

I received a size 9 which I thought was going to be too big since my toddler is currently in size 7.  I was surprised that these actually fit- she has plenty of room to grow but they fit perfectly.  She gave them a serious run for their money at the park with no problems so I think this is an added benefit to these shoes.  We will get a lot of wear out of them and I would try buying one size bigger than you think you need.

Giveaway: Wow, Wow Wubbzy DVD

I posted a free Wow Wow Wubbzy download a few weeks ago and I heard from a lot of you guys about how much you love these cartoons.  I thought I’d check it out myself and we really liked the new Go for the Gold DVD from Wow Wow Wubbzy.

This DVD is starring Tiki Barber and Michelle Kwan as Wubbzy gears up to participate in the Wuzzleburg Wacky Dash.  This DVD teaches children that slow and steady can win the race!

This DVD is 82 minutes long and comes with little coloring pages for the kiddos to also teach them about the importance of exercise.

I was surprised at how much we liked this DVD.  It isn’t quite as sleek as some of the Disney movies out but my little one was literally mesmerized.  As you can imagine we have since watched this DVD about eight million times.  The DVD has a good sense of humor- for example Michelle Kwanzleberry (Michelle Kwan) is a champion weight lifter in Wubbzy’s world.  The songs are also really catchy- like “If It’s Fun, You Already Won” on this DVD.

I recently got a chance to try out the Mavea Water Filtration Pitcher.  This is a pretty sleek looking water pitcher.  We have a water pitcher that I use everyday so I was able to compare the Mavea to the one we currently use.

I can tell you my favorite feature of this product is how quickly this pitcher filters the water.  I find myself refilling our pitchers at least once a day and it makes me nuts to sit and wait for our other pitcher to filter the water.  The Mavea was incredibly fast.  I thought the water tasted fresh and clean and for some reason it seemed a little colder than our other pitcher gets the water.

The pitcher is pretty sleek looking in person.  It has a non skid bottom and is very light weight.   One of my other favorite features of this product was the easy refill lid.

You don’t have to mess with removing the lid- just turn on the water and viola!  The pitcher is also a little more narrow than my old pitcher so it fit into the side door of the fridge which is another nice feature.

Mavea is a German company launching products into the US market.  They have several pitchers to choose from depending on the needs of your family.   You can see a variety of their products right over HERE.  The pitchers can be purchased from Amazon from $26-39 each.  The pitchers also include a smart meter which measures water hardness, water volume and length of time in use.

We were very happy to review the newest DVD from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: Minnie’s Bow-tique.  As some of you know we took our girls to Disneyland in December and guess what?  We were surprised on Christmas with yet another trip to Disneyland in March that was arranged by Grandpa.  So my toddler is very interested in everything Mickey right now.

Minnie’s Bow-tique will be released on February 9th and can be purchased from Amazon HERE.

This is a fun DVD with 4 Minnie Mouse themed cartoons- including Minnie’s Bow-tique, Minnie’s Bee Story, Minnie’s Picnic, and Minnie’s Pajama Party.  As usual, the DVD comes with extras too!  There are bonus features and the DVD comes with a magnet photo frame and a picture of Minnie with various bows for her hair.  My little one has been dressing Minnie up on the fridge and the dishwasher and I think this frame might have been more entertaining than the DVD.

CLOSED-Giveaway: Piggy Paint!

If you have little girls than I know you are going to love Piggy Paint.  My 2 year old happens to love nail polish and when I saw Piggy Paint I knew it would be a hit in our house.

These polishes are totally non toxic and water based.  They come in a variety of fun colors that are a little more appropriate for kiddos than some of the regular polish you see in the stores.  The polish was created by a mom that used foam plates to catch drips when she was polishing her little girl’s nails.  She noticed the polish would eat through the plates and then realized her children were putting their nails in their mouths with all those nasty chemicals.  So she created Piggy Paint which is free of all the chemicals in a regular nail polish.

Piggy Paint was kind enough to send a sample of a polish as well as the polish remover for us to test.  I have to tell you my husband complains constantly about the smell of polish- even hours after he will still complain.  I can tell you he did not say one word about Piggy Paint AND he even painted my daughter’s nails!  It is nothing like regular polishes- the smell is almost nonexistent. I really liked this stuff- we normally use some of the drugstore brands and OPI.  I thought this was very comparable to the drugstore products but I will say it didn’t hold up quite as long as OPI does.  Overall I was sold by Piggy paint.  I would much rather have a few extra touch ups than expose my little girls to all those nasty chemicals.

Piggy Paint is priced at $9.95 and can be found on Amazon.  It is a little more expensive but I was sold when I smelled the difference between this polish and regular ones, there really is a dramatic difference.  I also liked that the colors were more kid friendly and whimsical.

You can also buy little sets of 3 that are priced around $25 and would be a really cute gift for a little girl.

As you all know I shop at Safeway almost weekly.  I find a lot of values there and I can usually spend less on higher quality items than at discount stores just by using coupons and shopping the sales.  We frequently have yogurt on our shopping list because the prices are so good at Safeway and also because my 2 year old LOVES yogurt.

We usually buy Yoplait Yo Plus yogurt but lately we have experimented with Fiber One as well.  Fiber one offers 4 different flavors: Strawberry, Peach, Vanilla and Key Lime.  It comes 4 containers to a pack and Safeway has them priced at just $2 right now.  So with a $1 off coupon you will pay just .25 per cup!
