05/17/2013. This post may contain affiliate links. Read my Disclosure Policy.

If a Kroger store is a convenient stop today, you might want to hit up a Frito-Lay Free for All sampling event.

You can stop by and try all the fun new products from Frito Lay while supplies last.  The products will include new varieties of Cheetos- CheezyMix and MixUps.  These are products that have a few flavors all in one bag- the Cheetos MixUps have four flavors all in one bag including the classic cheddar puff.

They also have the new Doritos Locos Tacos chips which are two flavors in one bag.

Last but not least you can try the new Pepsi Next soda which has 60% less sugar then regular soda.

This event is in stores today only (May 17th) from 4-8pm.

This free event is at all the Kroger family stores including Fred Meyer, QFC, Dillons and more.  You can enter your zip code here to confirm which stores in your area are participating.

I actually had Pepsi Next at a BBQ I just hosted and the soda drinkers at our party loved it.

**********

In addition to the free sampling event, Frito Lay would love for you to get a chance to try these products at your summer parties!  They will be providing a little gift basket with some of the new products plus a $30 Visa gift card that you can use to stock up on party essentials (or whatever it is you need.)

If you want to enter to win the giveaway, just leave a comment below and let me know which of the three new products you are looking forward to trying.

{CLOSED} Kroger: Free Quaker Sampling Event 4/26 #QuakerFreeForAll

04/24/2013. This post may contain affiliate links. Read my Disclosure Policy.

The winner was Candice.

Kroger stores will be featuring another free for all event on Friday April 26th from 4-8pm.

At the event you can grab a free sample of the new little Quaker Oatmeal Chocolate Chip cookie packs and the new Chewy Yogurt or Big Chewy granola bars.

I got the chance to sample all three of these items and they were all very good.

My children both loved the Chewy Strawberry Yogurt Granola bars so much I got the tinest little taste and then let them duke it out for the rest of the bar.

I think the little cookie packs are really cute too.  I happen to love cookies so the portion control of these little packs is a big plus for me.

If a Kroger stop is convenient for you on Friday, you might want to grab one of these samples and try them for yourself!

You can enter your zip code here to find a store in your area that is participating.

And if you want a chance to win a $25 Visa gift card from Frito Lay to stock up on your favorite products- just leave a comment below and let me know which Quaker product is your favorite.

I have to say the plain old oatmeal is a pantry staple around here because I do love to make oatmeal cookies!

For a bonus entry: just leave a second comment letting me know if you are:

Good luck!

{CLOSED} Silhouette Portrait Promo Code + GIVEAWAY!!

04/18/2013. This post may contain affiliate links. Read my Disclosure Policy.

The promotion is still available but the giveaway has now closed.  The winner was Julie!

I have a new Silhouette promotional code available to use through April 26th.  This code is to get one of the two machines plus some premium vinyl for a great bundle price.

You can choose from the Portrait machine plus (2) rolls of premium vinyl and a roll of transfer tape for $139.99 OR get the larger Cameo plus (2) rolls of premium vinyl and transfer tape for $269.99.

This would be a great Mother’s Day item if you have a Mom that is crafty or loves to be super organized.

These machines will do paper crafts (like cards, signs, scrapbooks), heat transfers (so custom tote bags, pillows, shirts), rhinestones (for shirts etc..)

My favorite thing is the vinyl because I can label all sorts of things like jars, benches, storage tubs and more…

Here is my latest project with the premium vinyl.  I just redid and organized the laundry room and I haven’t found any art that I really love for that space.  I decided to just whip together a quick little something to put up on the wall in the meantime.

The wall I was thinking about is the first thing you see when you walk in the garage door so I wanted something cheerful.

So I just used an old Ikea frame that was in a closet and created a little image and quote.  I cut it out on my Cameo machine and adhered to the frame.  Now I have a simple piece of artwork to hang up and the best part is that I can change it up at any time.

That vinyl just peels right off!

So maybe this little sign will remind us all to put a smile on our faces when we walk through the door!

So if you want to order a Silhouette of your own, just head over here and you want to pick which bundle you like.  Then use coupon code FRUGAL at checkout.

Just as a point of reference, the Silhouette Portrait machine alone is currently $199 from Silhouette or $175 from Amazon.  The Cameo is currently $299 from Silhouette and $269 for a starter bundle on Amazon.

The premium vinyl typically sells for about $15 a roll and you will get 2 rolls with your order.

AND if you want to win one of these awesome little machines of your very own- here is your chance!

Silhouette has very kindly provided one Silhouette Portrait for a lucky MFA reader.

If you would like to win this lovely little thing just click below to enter.

For a bonus entry: check the box letting me know if you are

This giveaway ends on April 20th at 8pm PST.  The winner will be notified via email and will have 72 hours to respond or an alternate winner will be selected.

Disclosure: The giveaway was sponsored by Silhouette but all thoughts and opinions expressed are my very own.

{CLOSED} Giveaway: Grocery Outlet Gift Card #GOGreenBag

04/12/2013. This post may contain affiliate links. Read my Disclosure Policy.

Here is another fun giveaway for those of you with Grocery Outlet stores in your area.

This is in honor of a new Eco-friendly reusable bag they are designing. They want your help in designing the bag by submitting a photo of a design that you think would be great on the bag.

You want to post it on Instagram and tag @grocery_outlet and include the hastag #GOGreenBag.

The entries are due by April 17th at 10pm PST.  The winner will be announced on Earth Day (April 22nd).

You can enter once per person and this is for people aged 13 and up.  The winner gets a $100 Grocery Outlet gift card and some honorable mentions will get $25 cards.  yeah!

AND in honor of Earth Day, Grocery Outlet sent me a $30 gift card to see what I can find that is organic in stores.

I also have a $30 gift card for one lucky reader to win.

Let me tell you $30 can go pretty far at these stores!

I spotted a ton of organic, green and healthy products.  Some things might really surprise you.  Here are a few highlights from my trip:

  • Organic Vanilla Ricemilk quarts $1.29
  • Late July Organic Crackers $1.99 (I see these for upwards of $3 at Whole Foods)
  • Wholesome Organic Agave 23oz $4.99 (this stuff is wonderful on pancakes)
  • Bear Naked Trail Mix $1.99
  • Back to Nature Macaroni and Cheese boxes- 3pk $2.99 (this is our favorite brand and $1 per box is a great deal)
  • Organic Valley Chcoolate Milk singles $.50 each
  • Stonyfield 4pk YoKids Greek Yogurt $.99 (!!- not organic but a great deal for this brand)
  • Spectrum Flax Oil 8oz $2.99
  • Stonyfield Organic Ice Cream 32oz $2.49

And here is what I bought:

  • 2 packages of strawberries $.99 (these were not organic but what a great deal!   And my Grocery Outlet has great prices on organic produce.)
  • 1 package of Bear Naked trail mix $1.99
  • 3 boxes Back 2 Nature mac and cheese $2.99
  • 4pk of Burt’s Bees lip balm $5.99 (I was thrilled with this find because these are normally $3 each!)
  • Blue Bunny All Natural Frozen Yogurt $1.49
  • Immaculate Company Cranberry Orange Scones $1.99
  • As a splurge I also got some delicious Devon Cream Butter from England for $1.49.

So my total was $15.94.  Many of these items are not organic but they are all natural and have far less junk and additives in them then what you typically find so I thought this was a great deal.

And if you want to win a Grocery Outlet $30 gift card just click below to enter!

For a bonus entry: check the box letting me know if you are a fan of My Frugal Adventures on Facebook or if you subscribe to MFA via email or if you are a follower over on Pinterest! (One or the other is fine, no need to do all!)

This giveaway ends on April 15th at 4pm PST.  The winner will be notified via email and will have 72 hours to respond or alternate winners will be selected.

Just a reminder that Grocery Outlet has tons of deeply discounted merchandise and things change all the time.  They buy up lots of product when packages change or new varieties are introduced or when other retailers just can’t sell the merchandise they buy.  There is nothing wrong with the products but you do want to pay close attention to expiration dates before you stock up on anything.

The giveaway has closed.  The winners was Serena!

is already April so I have another giveaway for those of you with Grocery Outlet stores nearby.

I wanted to get this posted today because there are some great deals in the current ad and some of you might be able to make a quick stop to take advantage. (The ad starts today, April 3rd).

I was hoping to get myself over to Grocery Outlet over the weekend to show you the cool stuff I usually find but my baby girl fractured her knee Friday and most of the weekend plans went right out the window. (Needless to say we will not be going back to the trampoline place in our city again.)

Here are some of the deals I am excited about:

  • Jamba Juice Frozen Bars 4pk $1.50
  • Buy One Get One Free Organic Kettle Chips- $1.99/2
  • Tillamook Shredded Cheese 8oz $1.49
  • Apple & Eve Lemonade $.50
  • Fingerling Potatoes 1.5lbs $1.99
  • Navel Oranges 8lbs $3.99

So I am planning to stop by this afternoon to pick up a few things.  One thing I have been getting the past few weeks is Hillshire Farms lunchmeat for $1.49 per pack.  Each store has different products but make sure to check out the deli cases at your store as there are usually some really great deals there.

You can find your local Grocery Outlet ad for the week here.  Register for emails and they will send you the new ads as well as coupons to make the deals even better!

And if you want to win one of (2) $25 Grocery Outlet gift cards just click below to enter to win.

For a bonus entry: check the box letting me know if you are a fan of My Frugal Adventures on Facebook or if you subscribe to MFA via email or if you are a follower over on Pinterest! (One or the other is fine, no need to do all!)

This giveaway ends on April 6th at 4pm PST.
