I made these little Easter tote bags for my girl’s this year and they were so cheap and so easy I wanted to mention to the idea to you guys as well!
These are Easter themed bags with the bunnies so you might save this idea for next year or you can actually customize the bags with anything you like. A monogram, a butterfly, polka dots, words– like library books, and so on. The options are endless really.
To start I picked up some plain totes from Joann’s Fabric. These are medium totes normally priced at $4.99 but they were on clearance for $.79! (Whoot!)
And I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut the bunny shape out in a gold sparkle heat transfer material.
Once the shape was cut, I just ironed it right on. I went back and cut the fluffy tail in a flocked white transfer material and ironed that on top.
If you don’t have a Silhouette Cameo, you can always use a heat transfer from Avery. I used these to make Super Bowl shirts this year and they were really easy to use.
And that was it! Seriously about 10 minutes and I was done.
I like these little tote bags because in the past I have used sand buckets and Dollar Store tubs in lieu of a traditional Easter basket. What I learned though is that the kids really do need a basket for Easter Egg hunts – so this tote bag worked perfectly.
I did a blue one for the big girl and then a pink one for my little one.
Look how cute they are:

LOL- thanks Jessica! They don’t agree with you at the moment since I just made them clean their junk out of the car. Maya was born 3 months after My Frugal Adventures was born so the poor thing is all over the blog 🙂
