You can also get a $5 coupon to purchase Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 when you rent it at Redbox.
I do suggest testing the code online first if you can. Simply go to Redbox.com and find the movie you want as well as the location. Start checkout and enter the promo code. It should be $0 for DVDs.
Your movie will be reserved and then you know for sure you can get it at that location. Just note that if you don’t pick it up they will charge you the $1.29 for the rental so make sure you do go get it!
*Please be sure to reserve the movie online first. The people that are not reserving online and just driving to a kiosk don’t seem to be able to use the code.

Was at the grocery store and tried it at the kiosk and it didn’t work but just reserved it online at a closer redbox to my house and it worked – so maybe it only works when you reserve online??

LOL- Stephanie I said as firmly and clearly as possible to try reserving online first :). I know we aren’t always at the computer but it only takes a second from the phone right in the car or even download the app to make it a little faster. I never go to Redbox with codes unless I do that first because they can be wonky.
I am so glad it wound up working out for you and thanks for offering your experience. I think you are right- they are going to make people go through their system to get the freebies now.
