Staples Price Match Policy

Starting next week I plan to really get after it as far as Back to School sales.  I know some of you aren’t quite ready for this yet but the sales are in full swing, so I will have summary lists of the very best deals, stock up price lists and a few articles with quick and easy tips to save the most time and money in your shopping.

In the meantime, I wanted to remind you that Staples does have a price match policy to meet competitor ads.

Here is what the policy says per the Staples web site:

*If you find an item advertised lower in price then Staples, you can bring in your receipt within 14 days for a refund.

*Staples will price match online or advertised prices from the following stores:  Amazon, Best Buy, Costco, Dell, Hewlett Packard, Office Depot, Office Max, Quill, Medical Arts Press, Reliable, Sam’s Club, Wal—mart, WB Mason and Xerox.

*They match identical items only and the item must be in stock (for online price matching)

*If Staples offers a coupon or a rebate on the item to price match, those savings will be calculated before the match.  If the price is still lower from a competitor, they will price match.

*They won’t price match where a gift card or rebate is offered.

So you can hopefully save yourself some time and money in driving around to a zillion stores but just price matching and doing a one stop shop.

You can see the Staples Back to School deals here and see the Office Max back to School deals here and see the Office Depot Back to School deals here.

Do you have or can you post a general “buy it now” prices for school supplies? I know some stores are staring to advertise back to school prices, but I don’t know if they’re really good deals or not.

I live in NC and there are a lot of year round schools here. My daughter starts Kindergarten on Monday, so we had to buy all of her supplies without the awesome sales! Most stores don’t even have all of their school stuff out yet!
