I was making Watermelon Sorbet yesterday and I realized I have never posted this little tip. Some of you might already know this but I learned it awhile back and thought it was so smart.. one of those why didn’t I think of that? moments.
Right after you use the blender or food processor, you want to simply add a squirt or two of dish soap and add some warm or hot water. Put the lid on and blend for just a few seconds.
Take it off the stand, remove the lid and rinse. Bam! Perfectly clean blender.
If you wait and do this later you might have yucky sticky fruit and such and it might not work quite as well. I haven’t had any problems coming back to this a few hours later but with a messy project like smoothies- best to do it right away.
I just do a pump of soap- if you add too much soap it lathers like crazy and you will be rinsing for the rest of the night. I add maybe 1/4 of the way up for water. Just a little soap and water is all you need. Blend for a sec and then that is it!

Thank you! I rarely use our blender simply because I don’t want to have to clean it. And, we’ll be making baby food in it soon, so will definitely get to use this great tip.
