Teacher Appreciation Gift Idea

Teacher Appreciation Gifts

This year I wanted to do something special for our teachers.  We got them gift cards for Christmas so I decided to put together little gift baskets for teacher appreciation week.

I wanted something bright and happy and summery and hopefully full of things they might enjoy.

There have been some great sales at The Body Shop and Bath and Body Works recently so I have been picking up things here and there.

So I added a few little things to a cute tub I spotted in the Target Dollar Spot (for $3.00) and made up these little gift tags that read “Thank you for making our year so bright.”  Oh and I made a monogram with my Silhouette machine to jazz up the bucket a bit.

Specifically I added a few hand sanitzers from Bath and Body Works, a Limoncello candle from Bath and Body Works, a Lemon Body Butter from the Body Shop, a lemonade from San Pellegrino and I was trying to find lemon candies or a fun little treat to tuck inside the baskets. These little jars I had leftover from an Ikea purchase ages ago- you can find similar ones at the craft stores or World Market for about $1.  I filled them with lemon candy.

A cupcake would also be fantastic I am a big fan of these beautiful cupcakes from Whole Foods.  Or maybe just some other pretty candy you find in your travels.

And viola!  Hopefully our teachers like the gift.

If you want to simplify a bit, just the candle or a body scrub or body butter would be a great gift.  Just tie with ribbon and add the tag and you are done.

And if you like the little printable tag, you can download it for free here.

There are several color choices on the same page.  I like to send the page to Staples to have it printed.  The cost is just $.50 or so per page and you can get a nice crisp copy of the labels.

Just cut them out and hole punch and tie with ribbon.

I did also make one of these cute little photo card from the girls but it hasn’t arrived yet.  Those I will tuck in the back of the basket.

Oh thanks Wendy! That makes me feel better. I am not 100% happy with it but it was certainly easy to put together 🙂

Love this! Do you sell these tags (customizable) on etsy? I’d love one that looks just like this but says “Thank you for bring a bright light in my life.” Could you do this?
