Target: Banana Boat Sunscreen as low as $.35

The hot deal this week is for sure the Banana Boat sunscreen.

This was already a great deal but there is a new Target coupon that makes it a super good deal.

There are two Target coupons- one for children’s sunscreen 4oz+ and one for any Banana Boat 6-8oz.

So here is the deal:

Banana Boat Sunscreen- Buy 2 and get a free $5 gift card – $6.49
Use $3/2 Banana Boat Sun Care Product, exp. 6/29/13 (RP 05/19/13)
or Use (2) $2/1 Banana Boat Sun Care Product, exp. 6/29/13 (RP 05/19/13)
and Use $2/2 Target coupon
Pay $6.98 and get back a $5 gift card
Plus if you buy kid’s sunscreen submit for $.75/1 Ibotta coupon

Final Price: $1.23 for 2 or $.62 each

If you want to use the Target cartwheel coupons on top of that you will save an extra 5% for buying kid’s sunscreen or coolzone sunscreen.

So the Cartwheel coupons will take an extra $.27 off per item (or $.35 per sunscreen)

This will likely be the lowest price we see all season on sunscreen, so if this is a product you need you might want to stock up early in the week.

If two products are $6.98 each ($12.98 for two) how do you get to $6.98 using either $5 or $4 total in coupons off? If you use The $3 off 2 plus the Target $2 off 2 that’s $5 off $12.98 or $7.98. If you use the other coupons you suggested you are at $8.98, or am I doing the math somehow wrong?

    Elanore,

Here is the step by step breakdown:

    Buy 2 at $6.49 = $12.98
Use (2) $2/1 Banana Boat manufacturer coupons –>>> new total $8.98
AND Use $2/2 Target coupon –>>> new total $6.98
AND Use Cartwheel coupon for $.05 off (depending on which varieties you buy. If you buy one Coolzone and one kid’s use both Cartwheel coupons). Takes $.27 off each –>>> new total $6.44

You will pay $6.44. You will get back a $5 gift card. If you consider that you can use the $5 gift card on a future purchase, the final price will be $1.44 or $.72 per sunscreen.

If you did buy the Kid’s sunscreen you will also be able to submit for a $.75 Ibotta rebate. That makes the very final price you pay $.69 for both sunscreen.

    Hello Charlene,

The Cartwheel program will allow you to use both Target coupons and the Cartwheel coupons on the same item? I feel like there isn’t much clarity from Target about that program specifically, so I’m just curious. Thanks!

    Julie,

From what I understand you can do that. In this case it is worth trying because you are only out $.27 if they won’t allow it. As with any new program though the stores may not be well trained yet.

I think I should know the answer to this, but I don’t shop at Target very often. Can you use a Target printed coupon WITH a mobile coupon?

Julie, You only get to use one Target coupon in total per item. So if you say bought 1 Banana Boat sunscreen total, you can use one manufacturer coupon and one Target coupon- either printed or on your phone. If you buy 2 Banana Boat you can use (2) manufacturer coupons and one printed Target coupon and one on your phone- you still are only using one Target coupon and one manufacturer per item. Does that make sense?

The only wonky thing is this new Cartwheel thing. It appears they are letting you use that in addition to a Target coupon. I recommend giving the Cartwheel one last just in case your store won’t allow it but my understanding is that you can use it on top of a Target coupon and it takes off the value after the Target coupon has been applied.
