I have a BUNCH of freebie items that I have been given – strawberries, broth, lettuce and quick grains rice! Plus a $10 coupon – I’m liking this program more and more 🙂

Honestly, I’ve been disappointed with the savings program at Raley’s. When they were still doing weekly coupons, there were usually around 20 or so store coupons to use. I couldn’t always use them, but there was always savings on something.

When they started the Something Extra program, I started off getting 4 offers a week. Some applied to me, most did not. Then I didn’t receive a single offer for 10 weeks straight. They recommend that you shop more and be sure to use your Something Extra card with each purchase so they can offer more deals. I’m a regular shopper at Raley’s, I always use my card, I’m there every two weeks, and I spend around $100 or so each trip. There are plenty of things that I buy that they could use to generate offers.

Last week, I finally got two offers after that long 10 week stretch of nothing. This week, I’m back to no offers. It’s gotten to the point where I’m thinking about shifting the majority of my shopping to another grocery store.

I get better offers from Safeway’s Just for U program and the offers are for things that I actually buy. I probably shop there once every two months – maybe less.

Unexpected, but nice, regarding the Try It Nu-Val: I bought the Italian Farro, it was FREE after the loaded offer, but it also gave me 10 Points! Just thought I’d mention since you get a choice of healthy grains.
