Some of you might be familiar with this already but there is a new(ish) app that iPhone, Touch and iPad users can download. (And now available for Android as well!)
It is called Ibotta and it is totally free. Use that link to register and they will also give you an extra $5 bonus in your account!

What you do is select certain things you want to buy before you shop. There are various items available at numerous stores nationwide.
Once you shop, take a pic of your receipt with your phone. They will verify your purchase and credit your account for what you are owed.
You can get cash back via Paypal or have it donated to a school of your choice. Once you redeem an offer they will send you a new one.
If you don’t like what they are sending, just personalize your profile and tell them what you like and don’t like.
Now this does require a little effort to get the offers. For example my account has an offer for $1 back on Children’s Advil.
To get that $1, I can pick to do 3 things. I get $.50 for watching a video, another $.25 for learning a fact and $.25 for taking a poll.
Now my patience level is nominal at best and it literally took me about 30 seconds to do all 3 of those things.
In fact, I had about 6 minutes today while I was waiting for my little girl to get out of school. I set this entire thing up and did the offers I was interested in during that small window of time.
Now this can really work out to be pretty awesome. I did the Simply Orange Juice one because I buy that all the time anyway. I also spotted one for $1.75 back on Mio. Well Mio happens to be $.29 at Target right now so that is a sweet deal.
So you can learn more about Ibotta here. One little tip, once you are all set up you will see the offers listed on your screen. Make sure to scroll over because you should have a bunch. I initially thought I only had 4 offers on my account but I actually had several pages.
*PS: Once you register, download ibotta on your phone and do your first offer, you should see a $5 bonus added to your account. You only get the bonus by using the links above to sign up and after that first offer is completed. I went directly to the app store and cheated myself out of the $5.00 bonus.
I’ve been using Ibotta for a while now and have earned about $7.75 back. I’d earn more if I bought more of the featured products; however, they are just not items I usually buy. Nevertheless, it’s free money!
I recently bought several of the features products like Dove, Mio, Poptarts, Kellogs Eggos. Can I use those reciepts although i just signed up today. I bought these items with in the pat 2 to 3 weeks.
