Can you believe it is already almost February? Crazy.
Anyhow, this month is full of all sorts of sales. It is an odd time because we still see a few lagging sales on the New Year’s Resolution items – healthy and diet foods- and we see tons of sales on junk food for Superbowl.
There will be a lot of chips, chicken wings, sodas, beer, dips and so on for Superbowl on sale right at the very start of the month.
It is Chinese New Year so we will see lots of Asian foods on sale. February is National Breakfast Foods month too so this is a great time to stock up on oatmeal and cereal.
For Valentine’s Day we all know what to expect- deals on candy, sparkling wine, greeting cards, flowers, fragrances and other gift items.
This month also brings President’s Day and we will see tons of sales- including white sales- for the holiday weekend.
This is the start of the spring clothing sales- you can typically get items for as much as 30% off. We likely won’t see huge discounts on spring clothing until April when the summer stuff arrives.
Otherwise there are tons of clearance sales on bedding, furniture, electronics, dishes and so on as we see the 2012 items replaced with new colors and products for 2013. So a great time to keep an eye on the endcaps at your favorite stores!

Thank you so much for putting this together. “They” always say to buy what is in season. But our modern supermarkets are very deceptive. And it is hard to tell a little one they cannot have grapes because they are 5 times the normal price. This gives us a list to start with and build meals with!
