It looks like you will need to use the app to reserve a movie in order to use the free code.
I did try this just going to the box with the code and it didn’t work for me.

Worked perfectly for me! Thanks kindly- I was looking for an alternative for Netflix. They usually don’t have many new releases. HOpefully RedBox does.
