You can get a free video game rental from Redbox right now. From 2/26-3/1, if you rent a game at a Redbox location the first night is free.
If you keep the rental for longer than one night, you need to pay the normal rental fees. You must reserve the game online before you go to the kiosk and they do require a credit card when you make the reservation.

I reserved a game yesterday. When I checked my bank account it showed a charge. Does the charge usually drop off after you return the game or did I do something wrong?

I am thinking the promotion started today and you reserved it yesterday that might have been the problem… Maybe you can get in touch with Redbox to ask for a refund or if you want to try it again I bet it works.
