Any other great deals you can see this week?

Walgreens confuses me. I went in to purchase 4 items today and they would only take 2 register rewards from last week towards my purchase rather than all 4. Is this common? Do I have to have more items? I also used 1 manufacturer coupon in my purchase. So I ended up paying the difference that should have been covered by the register rewards I already have that are valid. Is this just a problem at my store or is this common? Both the cashier and the manager said the terminal said that was the limit it would accept and they could not take the others. CVS is sooooooo much easier.
Shannon, from what you described, it seems that if you purchased 4 items you can only use a total of 4 coupons and the RR’s count as “coupons”. So, the max you could use would be 1 manufacturer coupon and 3 RR’s. However, I don’t beleive that you can use an RR on a product by the same manufacturer (Is this correct, Charlene?). Also, you didn’t state what the totals were. Would there have been overage that wasn’t covered? I often have trouble at Wags too. Sometimes, I’ll go to a second Wags and the same transaction works just fine. Go figure, heh? Yeah, CVS is a lot easier!
Shannon,
Walgreens, initially, can be tricky. Our lovely Charlene has the WAG’s coupon policy posted here. That should help clarify why both of your RR’s were not accepted.

Keep at it and you’ll get the hang of it. It may help to keep a printed copy in your binder for your trips. Trust me, it is SO WORTH IT! They always have a “freebie-of-the-week”, as I like to call it, and can be a great way to stock up on something!
And if you are able to do so, visit a 24 hour Walgreens late at night. The cashiers (at least the ones in my area) are used to couponers and are very knowledgeable about how to work their policy to your benefit. Also, you will likely find other couponers there that time of the evening also, who can help you figure it out.
And this is not listed in the coupon policy, but a good thing for us to remember as couponers. If you are using a Colgate RR, you cannot use it on the purchase of another Colgate product if your goal is to get the Colgate RR on the 2nd purchase. Using your Rewards coupons will prevent you from getting more *like* Rewards coupons on that 2nd purchase. You can use any other RR (Scunci, Palmolive, P&G, Walgreens, etc) and still get the Colgate RR on the 2nd purchase.
Anyway, hope that helps and happy couponing! Charlene, of course, if I’m wrong on anything feel free to clarify/correct. And thanks again for the awesome forums!
In my experience at Walgreens, RR must be used first then Manufacturer coupons, then Walgreens coupons. The order they are put into the system does matter believe it or not. I’ve had a RR turned down by the computer when I tried to use it last, then cancelled the transaction and did it over using the RR first and it worked. Crazy I know!
The Ajax coupon from 10/02 that says laundry product is not for the Ajax cleanser that is on sale, the other Ajax coupon from 8/14 doesn’t say laundry product, so I guess that one is OK to use on the cleanser.
