If the Pampers are $8.50 and you use a $2/2 wouldn’t that make them $7.50 each so 2/$15 rather than $17? Just checking. I’m sure you’re tired from yesterday! : )

  2. Kara says

    11/26/2011 at 8:55 AM

Glade air freshener is $.99 and there’s a $2/2 CVS coupon (on the CVS website) for any glade product

    11/26/2011 at 9:36 AM

No Melissa they are 2/$19 so it is $17 but they are $9.50 each not $8.50. And yes I am exhausted 😛

  4. Kara says

    11/26/2011 at 9:37 AM

Melissa, pampers are $9.50 each before coupons so her deal was correct, two for $17 after the $2/2 🙂 lol

  5. Charlene says

    11/26/2011 at 9:52 AM

Kara- she was right. I fixed it. The post said $8.50-$2= $17/2. It should say $19-2= $17.

  6. Kara says

    11/26/2011 at 10:34 AM

Lol when I read it, it showed $9.50 then $2/2 from p&g… Sorry. Funny that every time I comment on this blog you have a somewhat rude response. Think it’s time for me to start following someone else…

  7. Charlene says

    11/26/2011 at 10:57 AM

I am really taken aback by your comment Kara. I can’t for the life of me figure out how that was a rude response. I just said yes there was an error and I fixed it now. I am sorry you felt that was a rude thing to say. It certainly isn’t any fun to be told people can’t stand to read your site anymore because you are such an unpleasant person. I am genuinely shocked so all I can do is wish you all the best and I am sure you will find a site that you love.

Charlene, I appreciate all of the good deals that you find for me. Your site is my favorite!

    I saw nothing rude.

Charlene, I love your site too. I do have a question today. I see that I could do a deal w/ 3 Bounty’s and a Dawn and get the gift card. Is that a good price for paper towels? What would you (or others) consider a good price on those? Thanks!!

I just wanted to leave you a comment after reading some of the comments here. I think you are wonderful! I love your site and if I found deals like you do, I don’t know if I would be so generous to share them 😉

    11/26/2011 at 1:03 PM

Wow! I think someone is a little defensive! Your comment wasn’t rude at all. You were just admitting that you had an error and fixed it. Some people are really ridiculous. I love your site and tell all my friends about it. Keep up the good work!

  13. Charlene says

    11/26/2011 at 1:19 PM

@Ami- I usually figure roughly .50 for cheapy type rolls is a good price. A better quality roll is more like $1 and then the really big, thick rolls are higher than that. I think just glancing quickly at it, it seems like a good price. The one thing though is you will be .03 short on your $30 if you buy 3 Bounty. Typically CVS rounds up so my guess is that ECB will print. If it does not print you can do another transaction and buy one of the .99 fillers and then it will print. I know I am swimming in dish soap so you might try that if you don’t need the Dawn or there is Puffs too at .99 for a filler.

Baaahahahah! I’m so amused by how feisty some people get on here! Charlene, you are wonderful and I appreciate all the time and effort this site must take. I find you pleasant and polite.a I’m so excited by my fantastic deals and have you to thank!

  16. Sarah says

    11/26/2011 at 6:36 PM

I’ve seen snippity comments going both ways on this site before — best thing to do is just ignore it!

  17. Charlene says

    11/26/2011 at 6:45 PM

Sarah- thank you for your feedback. On my dashboard it shows all the prior comments from the person commenting and it is so strange that your IP address is the same as Kara’s. 😉

Thanks for everything Charlene! It’s people like you that allow me to coupon… you do all the work, so I don’t have to… and this Thanksgiving I’m thankful for YOU and the other bloggers I follow. It’s not fair that you devote so much of your time and energy to this, and have to deal with some of this crap. Thanks again, and hope you have a great rest of the weekend!

Charlene, I’ve never seen you be anything but polite. Thank you so much for all the helpful information you share with us!

Puffs Plus Vicks tissues $.77 (part of Gift Card deal) and in today’s P&G insert there’s “B2 vick’s products, G1 Puffs FREE up to $2.25” coupon–might work to get 3 boxes of Puffs?
I have a bunch of Red Kiosk CVS coupons for $2/2 Combos, & they’re 2/$3, so final price is $.50 ea.
Kellogg’s Crunchy Nut cereal $2.49, and I have a Red Kiosk coupon for Crunchy Nut BOGOFree, so final price is $1.25 ea.

When I CVS I try to chip away at my overall household budget. I view all the ECBs from last week as “coupons” for things that are rarely free. Thanks for highlighting the Starbucks, I didn’t notice that. I’m also going to do the Puffs and Bounty. The Tide with 2.00 Q price hasnt’ been that good since the spring, I believe. So, I’ll dead end the ECBs to the gift card on $30 deal.

Hey Deal Finders! Today I got a $3 off of a $10 lotion purchase from the magic coupn box (which I love so much I want to kiss it hello!) ….any one see any good deals? Oh, and last week I got a $1 off Frosted Mini-Wheat coupon which I used today with the sale, making a box $1.49! So, dig through your Q’s and see if you got it last week too!!!

Thanks for the clarification, Charlene! I’m always hesitant to point out what I think might be a typo or math error because I don’t want to sound nit-picky (and half the time I just need someone to explain it to me because I’m having a brain lapse). Thanks for all you do! Your site is my favorite, too!

  26. Charlene says

    11/27/2011 at 6:28 PM

Melissa, I really don’t mind. Half the time I am up until midnight on these things so there are bound to be errors. I just hate when people are mean about it, especially after I spent hours putting them together ;).

I am a NEWBY to the couponing thing and I GREATLY appreciate everything that you do. This site has encouraged me to start a site of my own for my area as NO ONE covers our local grocery stores. I for one count you as a blessing and a mentor for my own endevors.
    THANK YOU!

Hi, I am new to this website and have a question about what the “R” means when listed after the coupon source [e.g.: Use $1/2 Xtra Laundry Detergent, exp. 12/31/11 (SS 11/13/11 R)]. I looked for the Xtra laundry detergent coupon in the Smart Source flyer dated 11/13 but didn’t find it. Is there another source/version designated by the “R”?

Thanks in advance for your help with this question and also for making this valuable information available to the rest of us!

  29. Charlene says

    11/28/2011 at 10:16 AM

Monica that means regional- the coupon was regional and not in every insert.

  30. Monica says

    11/28/2011 at 10:34 AM

Ah, so I guess it’s not in my region (Southern CA). Thanks again!

With a sick boy at home, I finally got around to hitting my CVS today, needless to say the Tide was wiped clean, but I managed to get 4 at another cvs. I combined that with the 16 pack durable batteries and used the $3 off coupon for those. Along with (4) $2 off tide. Did anyone else catch the Duracell coupon? I found it in a single sheet flyer in my paper last weekend and to my horror almost accidentaly tossed it out! On the flip side of it there was a $4 off leapster game. With Christmas around the corner I needed batteries, so worked out great and got my $10 card. Paid all but 0.20 cents using my ECBs from last week! woo hoo!

  33. Natalie says

    11/30/2011 at 6:32 AM

so frustrating – our Tide coupon is $1 off 2, not nearly as good of a deal. There is a $1 off 6 boxes of puffs in one of the P&Gs – it’s not fantastic but helps bump the price on those down a little.

  34. Mel says

    11/30/2011 at 11:21 AM

I registered my card awhile back and just signed up for an account and coupons, and they didn’t give me my $4 coupon. What did I do wrong? I want my coupon!!!! 🙂

  35. Charlene says

    11/30/2011 at 11:30 AM

Mel they send them via email, so you registered your email account and you also checked your spam files and everything? There is no way you inadvertently deleted it? You can go to cvs.com and click on extracare and then get into your account and look around. Somewhere in there they will show the coupons available to you and if it was sent and you missed it, you should be able to print it there.
