Walgreens Updates: Schick, Theraflu, Brita Moneymaker and Free Photos!

Here are a few updates from Walgreens today:

  • The Schick Razor seems to be working just fine so go ahead and get yours.
  • For Theraflu, if you plan to purchase it this week you might avoid the “Lipton Green Tea” tablets variety.  That does not seem to be producing a Register Reward and the other varieties are working just fine.  If you have your heart set on that variety, it is pictured in the ad so you can address the problem with the store and they might be able to help you sort it out.
  • If you decide to purchase the Zarbee’s or W Maxi Pads this week that are free after Register Rewards, keep an eye out for coupons.  The Zarbee’s might possibly have coupons inside the box and some people are getting a $.50 coupon for the maxi after they buy one.  So use that for your next purchase and it is a .50 moneymaker.

Finally, here is one more deal:

Brita Slim Pitchers are priced at $10.00
Use the Use $5/1 Brita Printable
Or use $4/1 Brita Pitcher or Faucet Mount System, exp. 10/31/11 (SS 08/21/11)
Pay $5-6 and then you should be able to submit the Brita Water Pitcher rebate for a $10 refund.

The Brita rebate isn’t terribly clear but from what I can see, the pitcher in the ad is a pour through system so it should work!

And last but not least, if you missed this update- it looks like the free photo collage is still available!

Oh cool! I didn’t know there was a Brita rebate. I just got one on sale last week at Price Chopper…after my recyclebank coupon I paid $.49!

The coupon for the Maxi’s did print for me when I bought them but the coupon is for 28 count and up and the store sale with the RR is for the 14 count over night or the 24 count regular only so they won’t match up.

Beth I heard there were .50 coupons on the packs too? Did you see those?

I purchased the Lipton Theraflu and received my RR with no problems.

Thanks for the post! I checked my Zarbee’s box and sure enough there was a $1.00 off coupon in there! : )
I had a major run at Walgreen’s today. I got a razor and 3 boxes of refills for me and 2 razors for my husband with all those $5 coupons. There was a $4 coupon for the women’s Quattro blades in our coupon paper today too. I also got the maxi pads (the coupon that printed off was for the 28 pack and the RR item is 24) and a bunch of other stuff I don’t need to list here! I did the Softsoap deal (2/$6 minus $2 Wags coupon, minus 50 cents and 75 cents manuf. coupon), but the stuff rang up wrong and I had to go back later and get it fixed. Turned out it was worth the trip because I got $3.75 back (the original receipt had been $3.10 with all the other items and coupons…I’m amazed it went through).
Oh, one last thing – I got one $2 and one $3/2 coupon for Theraflu, but my other inserts didn’t have the coupons. I was hoping to get two $2 coupons to get an even better deal, but if my mom’s paper didn’t get it either, I’ll use the $3/2 later this week. I think I spent $16 and have $10 in RR left for next week. : )

The Theraflu RR wasn’t working but my store fixed it for me (after a long discussion where they tried to tell me it didn’t work because of my coupons) They put them through without the coupons and it still didn’t work! The maxi deal seems to be rolling, but each third or fourth transaction it would give the 1$ off the higher count instead of the .50.
Also the balance bar deal is better than I thought, they are ringing up 1.50 and printing a RR for 1.60 even better since I used a .55 off coupon!

The coupon for $.50 off W maxi pads did print for me, but I didn’t even think to use it on another trip to get overage on the deal. Thanks Charlene!

The Brita rebate says void in CT- that’s where I live- guess I will be returning it.

    I did the Theraflu deal:
    got 2 Theraflu Multi-symptom + 1 filler = 3 items
    used 2(2 MQs) + 1($6RR, Colgate)

The $5RR didn’t print so the cashier called the manager. The first reason the manager gave was that it’s because I used coupons. He said the RR doesn’t print if coupons are used. I said that’s not true. I used a Colgate RR on this transaction and, in my previous Colgate transaction, I used 2 Colgate MQs and the RR still printed out.

The manager then said that it’s because the manufacturers are the same. I said, “er… no. Colgate is manufactured by Colgate-Palmolive and Theraflu is manufactured by Novartis.

The manager then left to talk with another manager at the back. He came back after several minutes and said that the other manager said that that sometimes happens (RR not printing out) when too many coupons are used. I didn’t reply to that anymore as I thought having to tell a manager a third fact about their store policy is too much already (he’s a manager. He should know his employer’s rules.). Anyway, he gave me cash for the $5RR that should have printed because he said they can’t print an RR by themselves. That’s good enough. As my mom-in-law would say, cash is better than a paper coupon.

The $2 coupon for TheraFlu multi-symptom is available on the Theraflu website.
