Here is another nice deal at Walgreens this week:
Advil is priced Buy One Get One 50% off.
Children’s Advil is $6.99 (so $10.48 for two after sale)
Use (2) $2/1 Advil coupons
and Use $2/1 from the Walgreens Infant Care coupon book (takes off $4 total)- if you have it!
Pay $2.48 for both!Infants Advil is $5.49 (so $8.24 for both after sale)
Use (2) $2/1 Advil coupons
and Use $2/1 from the Walgreens Infant Care coupon book (takes off $4 total)- if you have it!
Pay $.24 for both!
Now I went to double check these prices before posting and watched a lady that used these exact coupons. I will tell you they beeped for her. The cashier just pushed it all through and the coupons are legitimate so hopefully you don’t have any problems.
If you do not have the Infant Care booklet you can try giving code: 5520 and see if they will allow the coupon code without the actual coupon.

I did this and mine didn’t come out like that. Maybe I should have bought them separately from my other items, but I bought 4 Children’s advil, 1 Pert, and 1 Revlon. I used 4 $2/1 advil, used the advil code for $8/4, code for $2/1 Revlon, $5 RR, and $3RR. The last line says -50% $5.00 so my subtotal was $4.94… Is that right? I expected lower, but she was on the phone and didn’t want to take all 4 $2/1 Qs…
Which are the ones that beeped? The printables or the IFC ones?
Infant care* sorry
I just came from doing that exact deal however for some strange reason it cost me $1 more to buy the 2 Children’s Advil. The sign said buy one get 50% off 2nd one but it only subtracted $2.50 off the total not $3.50… I don’t know why. I did have the 2 coupons (infant care book and 2 coupons printed from on-line site) so it subtracted the $8. The manager was ringing and none of the coupons were going through so he was putting them all in manually. So I paid $3.48. They only had 1 infant Advil so couldn’t do that one.
can someone please tell me how RR works? i bought a mens razor yesterday for $10.99 and had a $4 off manufacturer coupon plus a $2 RR from Crayola. I was told my $2 in RR would not work because it too was a manufacturer coupon from Crayola. I dont understand it, i have read that you can use your RR with coupons. Can someone please explain what i did wrong?
I’ve to used the Infant Care coupons recently and it beeped also. The manager said they were manufacture coupons and not Walgreen coupons (when clearly they are). They even took them at the end of the transaction. I really don’t like Walgreens and the idiotic coupon policy.
Annie you have to have an item for each coupon. Example you need a candy bar or whatever you choose to use the coupon and the rr for the razor.
You might check the Walgreens 101 post for a lot more help understanding the program:

I’ve had a store manager stand there and argue with me and a friend of mine that the “Walgreens” coupons ARE manf. coupons because it says “manf” on it. I asked him where the redemption address is so they can get their money back, even tried to explain the system program (I use to work for Walmart Home Office and dealt with the coupon system a lot), but he flat out refused; this is even with the coupon policy printed out and showing him how it works. My friend even emailed corporate–told them NOT to have store management to contact her…and the same guy (which we figured out later was the STORE MANAGER), called back and proceeded to ARGUE with her on the phone. He said he even called the vendor and they confirmed that they “electronically” confirm and pay them for those “walgreens manf” coupons. You can’t pay me to step foot in that store again. They obviously needed to fix the wording on those walgreen coupons and train their management on basic customer service and coupon usage.
Kellie- I never found a way around the call from the same person you have the issue with problem myself. I used to beat my head against the wall at my Walgreens as well- once they called me a shop lifter in front of my children for using one coupon total per package of diapers ๐ . I just stopped shopping there and eventually the morons left and now I occasionally go back. Not very often though because I just honestly don’t need the hassle.
I too had my total come up wonky today. I bought 6 infant’s drops with the printable MQ’s (@Hailey they beeped!).
My transaction should have been:
$5.49 x 3 = $16.47
$2.75 x 3 = $8.25 ($24.72)
-$2 MQ x 6 = $12 (12.72)
-$2 WQ x6 = $12 (.72 total)
Instead it rang them all up at $5.49, deducted $12 for my WQ’s and $12 for my MQ’s and then instead of deducting $2.75 for each that was half off, it took off $5.25 on one line and my total was $3.69.
Has anyone else had better luck? She scanned my MQ’s first and then the WQ, but I’ve never had that make a difference before. Maybe my math is just all wrong!
Gina, I am not sure because I swear you need a degree in astrophysics these days at Walgreens but can you tell me what each item is listed at on your receipt? Are they listed at $5.49 and $2.75 respectively? And if I understand you paid $.62 per item? Well shoot that is still great!
The coupons keep beeping and finally the cashier and manager said i could not use the printable Advil coupons on the Childrens Advil because they were not pictured in the coupon even though the wording on the coupon was “save $2 off any Advil product” .
I know it Charlene, Walgreens drives me nuts sometimes!
I think I may have figured it out. Wags seems to be subtracting the 50% AFTER the $2 WQ has been applied. Instead of taking off $2.75, it’s taking the 50% off of $3.49 so $1.75.
Bummer! I don’t remember Wags ever doing this before, but then again I haven’t done a deal like this in a while.
The 50% is deducted AFTER the wags coupons. I bought 4@$5.09 each, $3.10 was deducted for the 50%, and used $8 in wagsq and $8 in manufacturer qs. No beeping but the qs I had werefrom the drs office and I had extra items(campbells soups.) it ended up being only about 32ยข each.
My receipt showed all of them at $6.99 and the 50% came off as the last line…. so:
6.99
6.99
6.99
6.99
-2.00
-2.00
-2.00
-2.00
-8.00
-5.00 50%
That is what my receipt looks like with some other stuff on there too because I bought Revlon and Pert and used RR and coupons.
Mine beeped too – the printed coupon and the newspaper ones. The manager wouldn’t push it through so I cancelled the transaction.
I just had trouble also. The manager said that the Wags coupons are manufacturer coupons and cannot be combined with the Advil coupons. I told him their policy states you can use 1 Wags coupon and 1 MQ per item but he wouldn’t approve it, so I had to let it go. I’ll try at a different one, see what happens.
Went to my Wags and the cashier would not take both the Infant Care coupon and the Advil coupon. I asked for the manager and the manager explained that the Walgreens Infant Care coupon is actually a manufacturer coupon too so they would not take both ๐
I have tried 3 different Walgreens in Corpus Christi and non of them want to take either my printed advil coupons or the manufacturer coupons in the newspaper this past weekend. All of them keep telling me the reason they dont work is because the picture doesnt include the infant advil. I am really bummed cause my daughter doctor told me today that the manufacturers are all doing away with “infant” fever reducrrs all together so I should go grab some while its still out there… My daughter is only 5 momths old this is bad news
Well I have positive news! I got home after trying unsuccessfully to get Advil. Since my coupons wouldn’t work I asked the clerk to remove them from my order and when I got home there was still one in my bag… which she charged me for. My daughter got really fussy so I guess I missed it. Well I called the store and the Manager told me to come back. This time I was able to get 4 Childrens Advils and the coupons finally worked! These bottles are all good through 2014 which is excellent! Thanks Charlene for helping me and my family save money!
