Just an update this morning on the Register Reward deal I mentioned for Gillette items this week at Walgreens.
They have listed in the weekly circular: Spend $30 on Gillette items and get a $10 RR back.
Well prices and items included are not listed, but you can see the little Fusion razor is pictured and that item also has a RR this week!
Reader Diana was nice enough to test this out this morning and she says that she did indeed get both the Fusion RR and the $10 RR!
So here is a deal I worked up but there are tons of variations on how you can do this one:
Gillette Fusion Razor $9.89
Buy 4 Gillette Body Wash- projected price $4.99
Buy 2 Gillette Deodorant- projected price $4.99
Subtotal $39.83
Use $4/1 Fusion coupon from 6/5 P&G
and Use (2) Buy One Get One Free Body Wash coupons from 6/5 P&G
and Use (2) $2/1 Gillette Body Wash, exp. 6-30-11 (RP 05/15/11)
and Use B1G1 Gillette Deodorant, exp. 6-30-11 (RP 05/15/11)
and Use $1/1 Deodorant from 6/5 P&G
Pay $15.86 and get back a $5 RR for the Fusion razor and a $10 RR for spending $30 on P&G.So a net price of $1.86 for all that!
Two notes:
1. Remember those P&G coupons have a limit of 4 like coupons- so you couldn’t use (5) $2 coupons in the same transaction etc..
2. I think Walgreens will probably fix this. It is pictured but it is not specifically referenced as part of the promotion, so I would encourage you to shop earlier this week rather than later.

Couldnt I use 4 $2/1 body wash and 2 $1/1 deodorant coupons for an even better deal?
So is it possible to get 3 Razors in one transaction and get 3 $5 in RR and $10 in RR for this to work? or is there a limit of RRs for the same item in one Transaction? and isn’t it True you cannot roll your RR from the Razor for another razor?
Is the Gillette Razor kits included in this also? They have been in the past w/the R.R.
Hey Tara, that won’t work so you might just read through the Drugstore 101 at the very top of the blog before you head out. Walgreens is a little quirky and it is very important you understand before you try any transactions or you will be frustrated.
Go for it Holly. As long as you aren’t trying to use more than one coupon per item that is fine but I don’t know if that is better deal. You can buy 2 items and use a BOGO and a $ off but you couldn’t use 3 coupons on 2 items if that is what you are thinking.
The bodywashes were only $4.49 at my store….which made everything free!!
The BOGO bodywash coupon has a 14 in the barcode, so wouldn’t that tie to both items? That should make the registers beep with the $2/1 bodywash coupons.
Yes. I hate these types of deals because they seem like such a headache and there is of course a chance they won’t let you use all those coupons. Seems like the past few times I have posted warnings, I only got feedback from readers that everything went perfectly and it has been using these exact coupons… So if it was me, I would say to heck with it and spend $.04 on Nivea at Target 🙂
I bought the above gillette scenario and it worked fine. I handed the 2.00 off coupons first, so not sure if thats why it went through before the BOGO deals that normally tie to both. Awesome deal, hope this helps!
I thought I had my deal all worked to ring up to $30.85 since my store was charging $5.49 for the deodorant only to get to the register and discover there was an unadvertised special of 50% off the second deodorant so my total was only $28.11.
So after grabbing another body wash, I ended up with 3 body washes @$4.99 and used the Buy One Get One Free Body Wash coupons from 6/5 P&G and the $2/1 Gillette Body Wash, exp. 6-30-11 (RP 05/15/11); 2 deodorants using the B1G1 Gillette Deodorant, exp. 6-30-11 (RP 05/15/11) and and the razor with $4/1 Fusion coupon from 6/5 P&G. $35.84 before coupons and I had $10 RR from previous purchase so out of pocket was $11.50 and got $15 in RR. My store won’t let me use a B1G1 and a $ off on the same two items. I’ve skimmed the policy but I can’t find anything that specifically address this situation. If anyone can help me I’d love to save more $$.
I just did this and it worked fine for me. The body washes were $4.49 so I actually spent $14.86 plus tax and got both RR! 🙂
My store did not let me use (2) B1G1 for the body wash! They said that if the item was B1G1, then I would have been able to use them both. Still made a nice deal since I had RR to use and received $15 in RR back!

super excited/nervous to try this deal. Its gonna take me 2 seperate trips to attempt to score a total of 4 razors. This is going to make a fabulous fathers day basket for 4 very dear family members.
The Walgreens I just went to in San Diego is imposing a 1 razor per customer limit. I can appreciate that so we all get to buy at least one, but doesn’t that seem a bit strict?
Also, does anyone know if I use the RR I got from the Nivea deal to help pay for the next razor I go in to get, will it not allow me to get the RR back on the razor? Last time I used the RR from one razor purchase for the next one (different day) and it would not allow me a RR for the razor. The Nivea one is a different RR so I am hoping it will still allow the RR for the razor. Anyone know?
I was able to do the same deal Charlene did and it went through flawlessly, I added an extra razor by Bic that is on sale for $5.99 then I used a $3/1 + it triggered a $2RR. sweet deal.
the RR on the Gillette razors cannot be used on any P&G items. (it says so on the RR) hth
Deal is Dead. I just left Walgreens and the manager told me they received an email this morning explaining that the razor is no longer included in the $10 RR deal. Bummer.
