I mentioned the Old Navy sale already- they are having tank tops on sale for just $2 each Saturday and Sunday. Plus they are having a presale on Friday for Old Navy/Gap credit card holders.
Well now they have released an Old Navy coupon so those of us without credit cards can hit the stores on Friday as well!
These are tanks for toddlers, girls and women and there is a limit of 10 per person. Last year it was one day only and the limit was 5 per person so I am super happy about this.
So just to recap, if you have a credit card you can go anytime from Fri-Sun. If you don’t have a credit card- shop Sat or Sun OR hit the store Friday but you have to print out the Old Navy coupon.

Just wanted your readers to know that they should check with their Old Navy before going. Our Old Navy told me they are not honoring the coupon, only the credit card on Friday. I’m hoping there will still be some left for us on Saturday!
Nicole, this is advertised on the Facebook wall to over 2 million people. I can’t imagine that any store can simply refuse to honor the promotion. I would suggest posting on the wall and asking them what you need to do. Or call your store again and ask for a manager to explain to you why they aren’t honoring an advertised promotion:

There is nothing anywhere in the fine print about select stores so personally I would not let them get away with that ;). Good luck!
Thanks for the reply! I actually did call again to my store after seeing it was a Facebook coupon and advised them of that. After explaining what I had, they said they would honor that particular coupon on Friday. 🙂 Glad I checked back.
Are they opening extra early on Friday too? I heard stores were opening at 7 on Saturday.
yeah…i called my store earlier and he said the same thing….that it was just for card holders and that the coupon wasn’t anything real. so i called back once i had the facebook amo (hehe)… and he said it was news to him…but they have to honor it!
Sara – I called one of the Dallas-Ft. Worth stores about store hours on Friday and she said regular hours which means they open at 9:30. She thought I knew what their regular hours were. Which I found interesting since they don’t post their hours on their website. But, my guess is they’ve been swamped with phone calls about the promotion and open/close Fri-Sat-Sun.
does anyone know if we can use the groupon to old navy for the tanks?
@andrea – I was just thinking the same thing. That’s the only reason I’d go out there. So I hope so. I’m going to call and check.
I tried to use the fb coupon (good Fri only) and the groupon this morning and was not able to use both… only one or the other.
Sooooo… looks like I will be waiting till tomorrow morning to use the groupon.
I was able to use my gapcard rewards ($10) with this promo, so I ended up with 10 tanks for $10! I was there at 10AM this morning when my store opened and there were people waiting already…I got all the sizes/colors I wanted, but the sales associate did tell me that everything was out on the floor already, so make sure you get there today and use the facebook promo if you are not a cardholder!
I went to Old Navy to get some Tank Tops and the Tank Tops that I picked from the Stacks on the table that were on Display for this Sale were still ringing @ the Regular Price so the cashier had to override it and lower the Price and then the Coupon wasn’t scanning so he had to enter it manually. I thought after that I was done and I could complete my transaction but no much to my dismay the Cashier tells me that the receipt is not printing and they will e-mail it to me( I was thinking to myself he got to be kidding what if I don’t receive it @ all and I need to exchange or return those Items then I’ll be stuck with something that is not for me and how am I going to prove it that I bought it). I refused to leave the counter until I get my receipt and finally after struggling for a while with his cash register he could print it out for me.
I’m not sure why the Stores aren’t prepared when they hold an event like this. There was just one lady in front of me who was @ the cash register and I could see it the cashier was struggling to complete her transaction as well. I hope there was some easier solution to this. 🙂
Went to see what my Old N had left and it was slim pickings. Overheard the manager saying that you could buy any size left and come in next week and exchange for a better size/color for the same deal. He said they were getting a ton in on Tuesday.
