Use (2) $1/1 from the 4/10 SS
and Use the $3/1 Almay from the Walgreens coupon book (takes off $6.00 total)
Final Price: .49 per pack!
*Some beauty counters have manufacturer coupons for $2 off Almay cosmetics. You might ask the beauty counter cashier if they have any Almay coupons and if they do, both packs would be free!

I know a lot of you were excited about the free Clean and Clear bodywash this week. I heard a lot of feedback that the stores were totally out of stock- in fact I heard from people at stores at midnight on Saturday night at they were out of stock! I did check my store myself and could not believe my store doesn’t even carry these items. Stink!
So here are two other options for you since those coupons expire 5/15.
Path of least resistance: Pay .99 each at Target this week
The other option is to try a price match at Walmart. This one could be a headache but according to the price match policy for Walmart:
“We gladly match the price in the following types of ads:
- Buy one, get one free ads with a specified price
- Example: Buy one for $2.49, get one free (BOGO)”
So in theory it should work since the ad does say a price ($5.99). The only trip up might be using that BOGO coupon on top of that because the coupon policy does not specifically allow for a BOGO coupon and a BOGO sale… I heard from lots of you that had success with this.
Finally, I will have this in the Shop for Free list in just a bit but I am concerned this coupon will be gone so hurry and grab it.

I tried price matching at Walmart this morning and using my (2) B1G1 coupons and it was a complete bust. It reminded me why I don’t shop there. Both the cashier and the mgr on duty didn’t know how to ring in the price match for BOGO and decided to use “vendor coupon” for the free ones. When I gave them my coupons, they said they couldn’t use the price match and the coupons because “that would be doubling and we don’t double.” Lord help me! After arguing for 5 minutes, I gave up and didn’t buy anything. I sent a message to corporate when I got home.
Between my Walgreens & Walmart, I am having the worst time couponing now! They both think that by using a coupon on top of a store promotion, that is doubling and this area doesn’t double. I’ve only had this trouble in the past couple weeks and can’t help but wonder if the TLC show is in part to blame.
Probably 🙁 I think they look at us as the enemy now.
My husband is convinced that TLC show was put together by stores to make couponers look bad. With high food prices expected to go up I am sure more stores will be cracking down on coupons and sale items.
I tried to Price Match the Clean and Clear Body Wash at Walmar and use the BOGO coupon as well. No luck though 🙁
I spent a good 20 minutes at customer service on Sunday and they couldn’t figure out how to do a BOGO Price Match with a BOGO coupon. Bummer!
See I would just go to Target and be done with it. Who wants all that bother over $1.98. Stink on Walmart.
I was able to price match the clean & clear at Walmart last night. Of course others must of been doing it too since they only have 2 bottles left. Hopefully they will get more stock in before Sunday
My store has so many bw,was even surprised!Guess why!!??They are not accepting bogo coupon on bogo sale!Even with policy,they said no!You can’t get them for free!Bummer!Walgreens is getting to me,with them making up their own rules at each store!
I tried using the 2 Clean and Clear coupons that were listed last weekend when I went to Target, and since they were both manufacturers coupons, they wouldn’t accept both. Hmmm…
i was shocked when I went to Walgreens on Monday and got the last 2 Clean and Clear body wash! I have to say to say it was my best trip ever. I have been following your blog for a long time but I usually only get the deals on stuff I really need, so I don’t head out to the drugstores too much, but I was pickign up my free collage and got this:
1 5×7 collage
2 Clean and Clear Body Wash
2 Reach toothbrushes
1 carefree liners
so $21.00 worth of products all for .78 cents!! I was so excited 🙂 Thanks for all your price matches. 🙂
My Walgreens said they do rainchecks, but I completely forgot to ask for one for the Clean & Clear when I was checking out b/c my 2 y.o. was screaming and I had to get the heck out of there – would that work?
Ally I think the issue is the coupon expires soon.
Bryn, you can’t use two coupons. You actually use one coupon and combine that with the BOGO sale.
I tried to price match at walmart. The manager told me she would do the price match and accept my coupons but since the ad stated buy 1 at 5.99 get one free and walmart only charged 4.94 for them i would have to pay the dollar and change difference. I told her “now thats not really a price match is it?!” she says ” oh yeah… we have no problem price matching its your coupon thats messing it up!”…..SERIUOSLY?!!! I told her nevermind i didnt want them! y would i pay a dollar for them when i can get them for free!!!
Sounds like the price match at Walmart is not going to good — oh well will stop on my way to work in morning — who knows maybe I’ll get lucky — My walgreens said their truck comes in on Fri so the shelves would be restocked though the day. Got the almay deal tonight and noticed the cashier entered the $2 coupon rather than the $3. Do you think they’ll fix it if I go back tomorrow? I did get the items listed on the $3 coupon.
The Super Walmart near us, she said that they restock the shelves every night… I was wanting to get Similac, and she says it gets cleaned out everyday, but every night she puts more on the shelf. The same probably goes for the C&C.

I was able to get 6 bottles of Clean & Clear on Sunday, I have 2 more B1G1 coupons left. Every Walgreens, store near us is out. They all said they will get a shipment in on Saturday. Someone early said something about a Rain Check. Well with the B1G1 coupon it wont do much good because the last day to use the coupon is Sunday. I had heard that some stores will allow you to use your expired coupon for items not in stock if your Rain Check is dated prior to the coupon expiration. I asked the stores near us, was told No. Expired is expired and can’t use.
