can someone explain how the bogo sale works with a bogo coupon……

For anyone in the Northern CA area, or any Walgreen’s using the Woodland distribution center, the warehouse is out of the Crackerful’s, so stores do not have them. They are substituting Wheat thins, Triscuts, and Ritz, though I don’t know if they are subbing them for just the $2 price or honoring the RR.
thanx again….i felt nervous about wanting to try it….but i understand it now….i think i’ll try it 2morrow

Karina you’re correct! Lets say I have a P&G (Proctor & Gamble) item & get RR from it! I can use it on anything except another P&G (Proctor & Gamble) item if I expect/want to get another RR from it! You can use them on the 2nd transaction but then you wont get more RR on it so just make sure its on a different product! 🙂

i tried the off clip on deal this week and the computer wouldn’t let the chashier use the $2/1 coupon. it kept beeping and she said there was nothing she could do to make it accept it. still a good price at $5.99/2 but not what i was hoping for.

I went this morning and I was able to use the $5/1 Applied Nutrition coupon from the June coupon book . . . but the manager had to come over and override it because the machine did not want to accept it.

I’m happy w/my trips to 2 East Bay Wags this morning. The deals all worked as outlined by Charlene.
As I was perusing the cracker aisle, the manager placed shelf tags for some additional Free After RR crackers: Wheat Thins (I tried & it printed), Triscuit (i tried & it printed), and Ritz (I didn’t try). See Trish’s comment above. Thx, Trish. So these crackers are included with the Crackerfuls, it’s just not pictured or mentioned in the ad overwrap for today & tomorrow.
I also spotted in the laundry aisle a good deal if you want OxiClean. They are priced $2.99 sale & I have an insert M Q $3 on any 2, so it would make each OxiClean about $1.50 ea. However, I tried to buy 2 OxiClean and the register did not accept my $3/2 MQ & my $2 RR together…it said something about “exceeded”. I asked the manager and she said it’s b/the MQ is on 2 items, so it throws off the coupon-to-item ratio. This is why I don’t like to shop at Wags. 🙁 So I abandoned that transaction. It takes so-o-o much brain energy to shop at Wags, good thing I could take a sip of my Illy coffee drink just to jumpstart my brain!
Thanks for the heads up on this 2 day sale, Charlene. I think I spent about $7 oop today and still have 2 ($2 RRs) to spend later. I did NOT clear the shelves, and I spread my shopping over 2 stores. I got 4 Reynold Wrap 70ft. (used $0.75 insert MQs), 2 Crackerfuls (used $1 insert MQs, 3 Illy, 1 Wheat Thins, and 1 Triscuit.
The cashier mentioned that the Illy is a new product for Wags. One of my stores didn’t even have a place on the shelf for Illy, so they just had two boxes of Illy cut open and stacked it near Photo. My other store had their Illy in the fridge. I already tasted the Cappucino–quite yummy–but is 100 calories, maybe someone will invent a skinny-girl version of Illy then I would continue buying it.
It was a good Wags day, surprisingly.

Just to clarify — if I had bought 2 OxiClean and used the $3/2 MQ, it would’ve worked.

Holly were they $3 each? I was in the juice aisle and totally spaced on checking the price.

Yes, they were $3 each, but I had $1/2 coupon. So it ended up being $2 a piece after coupon and RR.

Free Basil plant seeds on back of my Triscuits from Wags. It’s like seeds imbedded within the cardboard. Added bonus! Will try planting it. Homegrown Basil in summer, hopefully.
Imagine my reaction when I found tearpad MQs $1 off any can of Illy. This was last night in Draeger’s Palo Alto. Too late for me to use at Wags.

bought 12 goodys and bc’s used 12 1/1 and only got back a 1.50rr
what did I do wrong?
Walgreens is a little different than the other stores. You have to do a seperate transaction for each of the like items you’re expecting a RR on. Ex:
Buy 1 Gillette Razor – 9.99 – $4coupon earn 5RR = .99
If you use the RR you earned in the above transaction to pay for that same or like item you will not receive another RR. If you pay for 12 of them all at the same time, you’ll still only get one RR.
What I do is:
Transaction #1
Buy XYZ product which is 9.99 I have a $4 coupon and I’ll earn 5RR for my purchase.
Transaction # 2
Buy ABC product which is 8.99 and earns a 3RR with purchase different manufacturer. <~~~Key!
I use my $1coupon and my 5RR from transaction 1 then pay the difference of 2.99 and earn my 3RR from trans 2.
Repeat trans 1
Oh, and you can return those and start over. Keep in mind that you won’t get your q’s back though, so I don’t know if it’ll be worth it to you.
Also you can read the drugstore 101 at the top of the screen and Charlene tells you all about how to master the many rules of drugstore couponing. 🙂
