There’s a Q insert in the latest All You magazine, $2 on any 2 Mars Easter products, so you can get the Easter M&Ms for $1 each by also using the WQ $1, and you don’t need to worry about that M&M pretzel coupon.

Do you happen to know if the Claritin sale and coupon can be used on Children’s Claritin?

I had an issue using the Pure Protein bar BOGO and the $1 off coupon at my store. They refused to honor it stating it went below $1 at the .99 price. Is this in fact true that it cannot be used? I used the $1 coupon off the .99 reach toothbrush and the $1 off the .99 zone bar I purchased. I am new to this and really confused and I was embarassed. Can you help me with this issue? It is the second time they have done this to me. The first was with the BOGO Rite Guard and the in store special. I won that battle, not this one however.

This deal didn’t work for me….

Trident Gum .79 with in ad coupon
Use B1G1 Trident Gum Single Pack, exp. 4-30-11 (SS 03/06/11)

    {Deal Idea}
Buy 2 packs at $1.29 (projected price)
Give BOGO coupon first- takes off $1.29
Use in ad coupon for .79 per pack (should take off .50 per pack)
Final Price: .29 for 2 packs

The Trident coupon in my 03/06/11 SS was only good on Trident Vitality gum….which isn’t the right number of sticks for the in ad coupon. 🙁

Was anyone able to find the Walgreens Spring Beauty Booklet? Did it just come out this week? The employees at my Walgreens hadn’t even heard of it yet, but said they would keep an eye out for me.

  6. Maryj says

    03/20/2011 at 3:19 PM

I found it at the beauty counter

  7. Trisha Kuster says

    03/20/2011 at 4:43 PM

Thanks Maryj. I will check at mine later this week….they didn’t have them there this morning.

FYI – You might want to edit the following:

The coupons for colgate expired yesterday. One day before the sale began:

Colgate 6.4oz Toothpaste or Wave Toothbrush $.99 with in ad coupon
Use $0.75/1 Colgate Toothpaste, exp. 3-19-11 (SS 02/27/11)
or Use $0.75/1 Colgate Manual Toothbrush, exp. 3-19-11 (SS 02/27/11)
    Final Price: .24

Trisha- I looked around and it seems there are 2 coupons. Some areas got a Vitality one and some got any Trident.

Drat! Thanks for checking Charlene. I totally missed it when I looked at the ad the other day when I was creating my shopping list. I used two Ad Perk coupons at Rite Aid for the Trident Vitality this morning to pay $0.03 for a pack….I wished I had looked closer and I could have gotten the second for free. Oh well…it’s still good for a while. 🙂

    Ok good catch Bobbie.

Jessica- personally I find Walgreens about as fun as the Dentist. No make that gyno ;P Your store is incorrect. According to the coupon policy they can adjust coupons down so they can keep the extra penny:

    http://myfrugaladventures.com/2010/08/new-walgreens-coupon-policy/

With that being said, in my years and years and years of shopping Walgreens I have had a total of ONE experience where it wasn’t a massive hassle to get a coupon adjusted down. So not to be Debbie Downer here but I guess I just have a certain mindset when I walk through the door. I put my big girl underpants on and get ready for a hassle. I think if you are new to using coupons you might just want to try a few things at different stores and just get a feel for which ones you like and which make it easy. Also, I try to remember the cashiers that are a pain and I avoid them at all costs. One tip at Walgreens is to look for the photo or beauty counter cashiers. Almost every time you will find a person more knowledgeable and pleasant in those departments 🙂

Keep with it! As you get more experience and confidence it gets easier and easier and easier.

Janel- I don’t know what is included but a reader passed this deal along:

  14. Kelly V. says

    03/20/2011 at 6:35 PM

My Walgreen’s in Houston has Dove bars for .49 as the deal of the week. I have a .75/2 manu. coupon that would make 2 for .23. Does anyone else see that deal in their ad? Don’t know when the coupons came out but they expire 4/30/2011.

  15. Jessica B says

    03/21/2011 at 5:07 AM

Thanks Charlene for the encouraging words! I live in a small area with only a Walgreens and Walmart, so I will stick to it and not let the manager get to me. Funny thing is, I read the guidelines 500x before I went back in the store with them, and all the way home (I wasn’t driving lol) and missed it. Must have been my nerves. I read it just now and saw it, so I am going to bring a highlighted version in next time! I’ll highlight the part where it says Walgreens gladly takes coupons from their customers too! LOL LOL

i got the Always maxi (22 count) was not advertised with sale at my store but rang up for $2.99 and got a $2.00 catalina. I also had a $2 coupon for Always so really a money maker

the package is kind of a purple color in case you are having trouble finding it. my store had them way at the bottom of the shelves.

  17. Karen says

    03/23/2011 at 7:36 PM

Even better deal on the M&M’s today. There was a $1 cat advertised for the purchase of 2. So with the $1 IVC and the $2 All You coupon they were $ .50 a 12.6 oz bag!

I ordered one for my daughter and I found out that mercola products have some promos too and I bought a pure protein at http://proteinpowder.mercola.com/pure-protein.html which I always use for my workout routine.
