I just did a quick stop at Target to get a few of the great deals this week.

2 Cranberries $1.59 ea
4 Simply Lemonade $2 ea- Used (4) $1/1 coupons (+.40 CRV)
6 bags of Kraft Cheese at $2 ea- used (3) $.75/1 Target coupons, $1/2 Target coupon and (3) $1/2 manufacturer coupons= $5.75 for all 6
2 Uno card games $1 each = $2 (we have some trips in 2011 so I think these are good for the plane)
Annies Mac n Cheese .99
2 Lunchables at $1- used $1/2 target coupon

and several items from the Dollar Spot on clearance. These were not marked but they did ring up at 75% off. I buy these to put away for Operation Christmas Child boxes throughout the year as well as for little rainy day surprises for my girls.

2 Coloring Books .25 each
Hello Kitty pencils .25
Christmas CD .25
ornament hooks .25
Feta and Olive dip mix .49

So the total was $18.81

I also stopped into Whole Foods for the nut butter and was bummed to find they were priced at $4.69 at my store.

I love that you save year round for Operation Christmas Child! I just started blogging about that very thing a month or so ago!

Just curious how you got 4 Simply Juices for $2?? They are on sale for $2, so the coupon would make them $1 each..Thanks:)

No Tracy the way I meant for that to be read is Bought 4 Simply Juice at $2 each- used $1 coupons. I’ll have to look and make sure I did the math correctly though.

Where are the MQ from for the cheese? I was just going through our freezer and realized we are out of cheddar and Mexican blend cheese!

Vivian- You mean did I buy them out with my 2 packs? ๐Ÿ˜€ No there was a display of them- it was opposite the card section in the toy area- a whole end cap.

Andrea I am not usually a piggy with products- I don’t actually like to have a lot of stuff. But our household has cheese issues (my husband) so we use lots of cheese! Some of those coupons were expiring so I figured what the heck. It goes in the freezer nicely and my husband is making enchiladas this week so that will be half a bag or so and I am going to make broccoli cheese soup which will put a dent in the jack cheese bag. Anyway- for cheese I have a hard time getting good prices and so I don’t mind getting a lot at once.

Oh no I’m so sad about the nut butter at Whole Foods. I was already dreaming about it. I know you’re in Nor Cal but are you in Sac. by chance ?(if it’s too private to ask, don’t bother Charlene I will understand otherwise you can email me). Oh I hope we get a good price for that nut butter.
For the cheese I understand, I can buy a lot of pounds at once when there is a great price on it and I just freeze it if the expiration date comes soon, otherwise some cheese have an expiration date that is very far so you can just keep it in your fridge.
    HTH.

Michelle the sad thing is that the coupon disappeared ๐Ÿ™ I went to post on Friday to hurry and get it before it is gone for the Target deal and it was gone. I posted it a bunch of times- so you may have printed it- this is where it used to be:

Stephanie I shop at the Roseville Whole Foods and it was $4.69 there. I already have a small mountain of Tillamook in the fridge that I am hoping people don’t remember or they might report me to Hoarders soon.

I am very proud of myself. I have been following your for awhile, but today finally took advantage of all your coupon and price sleuthing. After printing off coupons and price comparing, I dragged my hubby and myself out to 5 stores. I am proud to report we bought much more food than I had originally thought, and spent far less than I had planned.

I will say though, that I learned that you can only use one Target home-printed coupon per transaction. So, we had to ring up each item separately. A bit of a hassle, but our cashier was friendly and we still got to use the coupons ๐Ÿ™‚

Britney that is fantastic! It is all about buying what you need or can use and I am so glad you had a good day. Each Target is different- the majority of them do not limit the coupons but you for sure have to learn your own store’s policies. There are people that really go to excess with coupons and that is why some stores have cracked down. I know when I started couponing a lady used a Target coupon (they used to have unlimited prints) to get 214 free sample size bags of coffee. So I always think of her and that poor store when I hear stories of Target cracking down ๐Ÿ˜‰ You used to be able to print them at the stores too- so she even sat and printed 214 coupons with their ink and paper and walked out bags and bags of coffee later.

So I’m new to all this freezing stuff. Didn’t realize you could freeze cheese, sad I know haha. I’m not much of a kitchen/cooking person but learning so we don’t eat out as much! I love your blog and it has been SO helpful and makes it easy to buy the things i want at a cheapr price. I can’t believe I went so many years paying full price for things. ahhhh My daughter calls me the coupon lady now. haha but Im staying home now so gotta do what you gotta do. ๐Ÿ™‚

You know Andrea- a lot of people start using coupons out of necessity. I did because we relocated and I didn’t have a job and our budget was razor thin. We did crazy stuff and paid off every penny of debt (except the house) and now we don’t “need” to use coupons. I still do though! I can’t stand paying $2.50 for cheese when I can get it for .50. I just don’t see the point. I just try to be careful of my time and energy and I buy only what we need or can give to others. The really great thing is that once you do it for awhile you just have what you need and you can cut back on shopping more and more and just enjoy your time at home!

i went to whole foods in cupertino (near san jose), CA today and the peanut butter was $4.49. i used the $1 whole foods coupon and $2 internet coupon. then it was $1.49 each. that is cheap for peanut butter for me, and especially from whole foods. (the next best price is $2 at trader joes, i think, or sale at safeway or lucky.) i got smuckers jelly on sale at safeway for $2.49.

You know Cathy, I had my hopes up for less than $1 but I agree. I mean the prices on this stuff are just incredible. I should have mentioned they have Muir Glen pasta sauce cans for .99 too. There is a $1/2 coupon that makes them .49. That is a good price for organic sauce.
