I have had several comments from you guys this morning in regards to the Walgreens Tissue Paper and Wrapping Paper Register Reward.
It appears the deal is now dead on these items as most people are not getting their Register Rewards as of late yesterday. You can certainly try it but there are no guarantees you will get the RR and you can’t argue for it because it was not listed in the ad.
In regards to the $.50/1 coupon- I have heard some people are having success and others are not. The coupon is beeping and it will be up to the discretion of your store whether or not they push it through.
One other note on the tissue paper, if you purchased it before and did not get your reward it appears there are two types of tissue. There is a large package that is loose that is located near the wrapping paper. There is a smaller package in the card section that is sealed. The smaller package is the one that was NOT triggering the reward. So if this didn’t work for you, that may have been the reason.
I do not know if the .49 and .99 greeting cards are still working- so if anyone tries it today let us know how it works out for you.

In regards to Jingle cash, it appears the Jingle cash is no longer printing on pre-coupon amounts. If you got in on this early- you probably got some great deals but be aware from this point on you may not get your bonus Register Rewards if you spend less than $25 out of pocket. I am sure there will be exceptions to the rule and some might still get lucky.
I have had several questions about whether the cash is rolling. I have not personally tested this so I can’t say with any certainty. Typically you can roll RR from item to item as long as they are different products. So if you roll your Jingle Cash Reward to a different set of products, you should still get another Jingle Cash reward. Just remember it needs to be $25 after all coupons.
Thanks Wild for Wags!

I went in this AM and didn’t get the reward on the tissue paper, but I was still thrilled to get it so cheap.
I don’t know about you guys, but I personally find Walgreens to be a very stressful place to shop. I have decided I can’t deal with three drug stores, so I don’t even bother with them anymore.
Don’t give them your rewards card/number until the very end of the transaction! I got $10 in rewards because my subtotal was $55….then he did the card, coupons, and RR…total came to $11.06. I got $15 JC back ($5.00 from Hallmark and $10.00 for spending over $50).
I didn’t do this intentionally…he didn’t ask for my card to remind me, and when I remembered I just waited till he was done so I didn’t interrupt him. Turned out to work in my favor!
Sarah- I agree. I think $.99 a roll is a great deal and if they let you use the .50 coupon- well a heck of a deal too.
Nicole- I go where they are nice to me. After awhile you have accumulated so much you can pick and choose where to shop and pick and choose when you feel like getting a deal. I don’t care for my Walgreens- too much for me to bother with in my brain 😉
Charlene ~ I am finally at that point. I have a big enough stockpile, so I can wait until CVS has a deal. They are always nice to me! Thanks again for everything! I hope you have a wonderful birthday tomorrow.
Tissue paper and wrapping paper did not trigger the RR for me, but it did work on the hallmark cards. Bought 6 and got $5 back this morning.
I bought cards today and got my rr. On a seperate purchase today I bought wrapping paper and the sissors which was over the $25 before the coupons. I did not get my $5 jingle cash nor the rr. Which confirms what you said.
Went last night finally and did the tissue paper deal and got the $5 Jingle Cash and got 6 Nutcracker Snickers for free with the $2 off coupon.
We don’t have a CVS in Utah, so I have to go to Walgreens and Rite Aid. I guess I’m lucky, I haven’t had a bad experience at either one, and I usually am able to use all of the coupons I have. My one complaint is that their stock is always so low, so I miss a lot of the deals if I’m not there early Sunday morning.
I hate chopping at Walgreens anymore! Every time I go there, something goes wrong. I hardly ever go there anymore. I much prefer Rite Aid and CVS!
I cannot believe so many people like cvs.. they never have anything in stock.. if its on sale at cvs you can bet they only had 1 of that item at 7am on sunday.. I do not even bother going there anymore… someone mentioned above also having a rewards card for walgreens? I never heard that they have that is that something that is coming?
Wow! Charlene, you do so much research for us that I just wanted to take a moment and say “Thank You!”. You ROCK
I also find Walgreens stressful since you can never tell if they’re going to honor the coupons or not. I also prefer Rite Aid and CVS. I still thought the 33 cent tissue paper was an awesome price even if they didn’t honor the Hallmark coupon. It just seems strange that this store will argue over coupons when CVS and Rite Aid just seem happy to have my business. I will only shop at Walgreens if the deal is just too terrific to pass up like the tissue paper today. Thanks for all the great tips.
I too, fell into the category of Walgreen’s not accepting the 50 cent coupon on Hallmark wrapping paper. Although it said “Hallmark” all over the label, because it didn’thave the “gold crown” on it, the manager would not accept it. I believe that Walgreen’s makes it up as they go along. Therefore, they will no longer get my business, good deal or no.
I’m not understanding the $25 thing. In order to get RR’s anymore, I have to spend more than $25? That seems crazy. So what am I missing?
Kris you are not looking at the right thing. This is for the bonus Jingle cash this month, not regular Register Rewards.
Thank you so much for all of your help! I love your website. Walgreens did not take my 50 cent Hallmark coupon either, saying that I would have to buy the 3.99 per roll paper to use it. I did get the bonus jingle cash, however, for my pre-coupon total. It so varies from store to store, day to day, and cashier to cashier. Don’t you want to be a stalker and ask for a cashier’s work schedule when you finally find a helpful one?
Went to wags tonight to use my jingle cash from last week .my subtotal wa$26.43 $28.69 after tax even after I used my jingle cash. I didn’t buy any of the same product from last week (which I got the jingle cash for) but still no jingle cash. A bit frustrating it seems I’m always wondering what I will or won’t get when I check out at wags!
I personally love Walgreens (and this site!). I get treated VERY well where I shop and love the employees. They treat me so well that on occasion when something doesn’t work out I don’t stress over it. CVS on the other hand treats me fine, but, I have to agree, is almost always out of what I am looking for!
