Walgreens: .50 Wonka Chocolate Bars

12/20/2010 By Charlene 6 Comments

This post may contain affiliate links, please see my disclosure policy.

This week Walgreens has the Wonka Exceptionals bars priced at $2.

There is a $1/2 coupon in the Walgreens coupon book
and there is a $1/1 manufacturer coupon from Target.com that does print without a Target logo

That makes the Final Price: .50 each!

(Note: There are several other Wonka coupons that available but all of the ones I printed do clearly say “boxes” so I believe they are intended for the gift boxes that look like this. I don’t think they are intended for use on the bars.)

Also, if you aren’t planning a trip to Walgreens, I did find the Wonka bars in Doomed Chocolate on clearance at Target for $1.67. ย So .67 after coupon!

I also saw a bunch of Wonka boxes of fruit gems at Kroger last night on clearance. I think they might have been $1.67 as well.

I just loaded up on these from Target. There’s also $3 off 2 coupon also on coupons.com (or swagbucks coupons if you do those!). makes ’em $0.17 each!

Melissa- I think that people are confusing these items. I checked at Target and the BOXES of Wonka Exceptionals are $3.99-4.99. The ones on clearance are the jellies and the bars. There is no coupon for those. This is what the coupons are for:

I didn’t see that is said boxes on the coupons (I did this last week, before it was all over the internet) ๐Ÿ™ I feel bad now. However, none of the boxes come in a 3.5 ounce size that I can find, and that’s the part i paid attention to since the candy bars are 3.5 ounces. I hope that’s what they intended since all the gift boxes are 4 ounces. They didn’t have a problem at the register, but I know that’s not always the best test of a correct coupon. I should have paid more attention. I don’t like incorrectly using coupons.

Oh Melissa I wouldn’t feel bad it is all over the place today but I am sure the coupon is not meant for the bars. So a very easy mistake. The only reason I feel so sure is I spent ages looking at these stupid things at Target last night ๐Ÿ™‚ I like free chocolate too but I feel the same ๐Ÿ™ It doesn’t taste good if I did something wrong to get it.
