Thanks so much for doing the matchups. I really appreciate it. I have a quick question about the RR at Walgreens. I usually use a manufacturer’s coupon for ever item and get stuck with RR I can’t use. Can I buy something cheap (like the candy for $.29) and use the extra money on the RR to cover a more expensive item (like a package of diapers that I already have a manufacturer’s coupon for)? I just hate getting stuck with these and can’t use them. I would appreciate any help you can give. Thanks again!

Yes you can do that. That is called a “filler”. I purchased a number of the puzzels, coloring and activity books that were on sale 3/$1 with the in-ad coupon this past week while I was getting all the great free after Register Reward deals, so that I could use R.R.’s to pay for my items which I had coupons for. I haven’t read Charlene’s Walgreens 101 posts because I was already shopping there when I first starting checking out her site, but she probably has more info about all this where is says at the top of the post to start HERE and HERE if you are new to shopping at Walgreens.

For the Herhey Jumbo Bags Candy, if I am doing my math right, the final price would be $2.50 a bag and not $5.50?

If I were to do the healing cream rebate using RRs, would i be refunded the purchase price or my oop? Thanks!

The kids toothbrush coupon is for any one Oral B Stages or Zooth Power Toothbrush. Can you really use it for the Wags deal?

Lilyanne- I don’t have time to check back on that now but if the coupon doesn’t appear to match up it is either a mistake from me or a mistake in the database so just skip that deal. You can click on the coupon database on the right side of the blog and look for other coupons for whatever deals you are interested in.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me if you are purchasing an item that requires and in ad coupon, or walgreens coupon, can you combine that with a manufactures coupon without using a filler? Technically it is two coupons for the same thing, but what i’m trying to do is use a 29cent candy (with in ad coupon) as a filler, but since it requires that coupon, would that work or does it have to be something not requiring an walgreens or manufacture coupon? I hope this makes sense…..

From my experience and what the Wags employees have told me, the in ad coupons and coupons from the coupon book do not count as a coupon toward the item (when considering the coupon to item ratio) ,so, you can purchase the candy as a filler and it won’t count toward your coupon to item ratio….
does this make sense? anybody correct me if I am wrong.

Can I use the $3/15 RR with OTHER RR? Thanks!

The picture on the Oral B/Zooth coupon shows a manual Oral B Stages brush and a Zooth Power Brush so I am thinking it should work on a Oral B Stages toothbrush

Thanks Heather! I completely forgot about that question.

Thank you for pointing out the Expo markers deal, I’m adding them to teacher gifts 🙂
Also, I’m not sure if all Walgreens do this but every Tuesday is military appreciation day at all my local wags, they give a 15% discount and 20% on any walgreens brand item, including photo developing!!
