You can see Safeway’s coupon policy right here. Most stores will allow you to stack a manufacturer coupon with the store coupons that can be found in the weekly circulars. You will want to be sure to get a club card for Safeway to take advantage of the sale prices! Safeway sale prices tend to vary from region to region so you will always want to double check your local ad! Also, I do not have double coupons in my area so your prices are likely much better than mine!

If you have not yet taken advantage of the $15 off a $50 purchase credit at Safeway for home delivery this is a great week to do it and save some money on your holiday dinner!

You can still get $15 off your first online order at Safeway.com, Genuardis.com or Vons.com (in select areas) and free delivery on a $50 order.  So you pay $35 for a $50 order and have it delivered free!!  Just use promo code: MILK or CJSAVINGS at checkout.

What great deals did you find this week?

Is it just me or does this week kind of stink? Just FYI – Raleys is having a similar gift card promo. I got a ad from the Cat machine that reads… Save $12 on your next shopping order when you buy $100 in participating gift cards. Offer valid 11/17 – 11/30. They have listed Bed Bath & Beyond, Chilis, JC Penney, Kohl’s, Nike, Sears, Toys R Us and more. We are planning on purchasing a few big items at Toys R Us, so I am definately going to take advantage of this one!

Nicole, I think it is the same stuff from Safeway. Personally I think that the problem is we are used to the e-coupons that just made everything so much cheaper 🙁 I am going to have to shell out $1.50 for cereal now instead of .25 which is so sad.

I know what you mean about the cereal. I might have to go back to Winco. They usually have pretty good deals on cereal this time of year.

Does anyone know if the Pillsbury Catalina is for any size? I am hoping to see the smaller sizes for around $1 which would make them free after the catalina (6 at $1 ea. – (3) $1/2 – $3 Catalina). No money maker without the ecoupons, but free is still good! 🙂 Thanks for the matchups! 🙂

Just an FYI; Winco has Nabisco crackers on sale too. The 1# boxes of Ritz are on sale for $1.98 and various smaller boxes of crackers (such as Triscuit, Chicken in a Biscuit, etc) are priced at $1.88. Cheese Nips are $1.58. Since they aren’t bogo you can use a coupon for each box.

Here are some other good deals I spotted yesterday at Winco:

Darigold Butter $2.48/lb (use .40 coupon from 11/14)
Langer’s Juice, 64 oz bottle (use $1/1 or $1/2 from the 11/14 paper):
    Apple is $1.48 (before coupon)
    Other blends: $1.88 (before coupon)
Philadelphia cream cheese bricks are priced at $1.18. Some of the grocery stores have a little booklet of coupons titled, “deliciously simple holiday recipes.” In it is a coupon for $1.50 off 3 participating Kraft items, including the cream cheese. So with coupon they are .68 each. (I think I found mine this year at Raley’s or Safeway. Last year I found the same one at Winco)

Finally, I saw 6 pack boxes of Crackerfuls at Winco for $1.98 Is this a good price? Wasn’t there a coupon for these in a recent paper? Does anyone remember where?

Does anyone know when Safeway updates the Just for U section of their website? I receive the circular on Tuesday in the mail and I went online to download the coupons and they weren’t there yet. Am I wrong to think that the best strategy with Safeway is to look at their manufacturer coupons, print off what you want from another source where you can get two copies instead of one, and then use the hard copy coupons rather than the e-versions at Safeway? P.S. I am also mourning the loss of cheap cereal. 🙁

shopped last night at safeway and my shortcuts coupons are still coming off. I also stacked with paper coupons. the checker pushed them through, but i went to a very young, new checker. However, even if i hadn’t used the paper coupons, the shortcuts would have equaled a great deal.

I still have yet to find the Thanksgiving Q Book in the Auburn Sfwy. Anyone have luck there? I missed out on the Pam spray last week because they haven’t had the book. Oh well…

Last week I found a coupon on my pepsi 2 liter that says- Buy 4 2 liters get one free. Do you think they’ll let me use it with there Q? 5 2 liters for $3 sounds pretty good!

I know what you mean about the cereal. Paying $1.50 per box just seems so high when you are used to FREE – 50 cents. I decided to try out a deal at Giant (Stop and Shop) this week and it was pretty good – 4 boxes of cereal and a gallon of milk for $4.57. Plus I got a 1/2 gallon of Breyers and a Sara Lee pie for $1.50. I’m just sad that I have to change grocery stores. 🙁

    Jaime:
I have picked up several at the Auburn SFway – not all at once though 🙂 i left lots for you!! 🙂 They have been at the customer service counter for the last few weeks. I would ask if they don’t have any, they are always really freindly there.
    good luck

You can routinely get cereal for $1 at Rite Aid, about once every 4-6 weeks. I am rarely able to get it below that price – our sale ads are slightly different than yours.

I asked customer service about JFU, since it has not rolled out in Maryland yet. She says that ideally, it will be in place by Thanksgiving. However, she has been told that they are working out the kinks on the partial rollout that has already occured in other areas. Therefore, she says it will hit our area sometime in the next 3-6 months. (Doesn’t THAT tell you something?)

My preschool earns $4 for every $100 in Safeway gift cards they sell, and I can use them to purchase other gift cards at Safeway. However, I rarely spend $50 at a time to use the $15/50! I would have jumped on it before couponing…. Though I need to decide soon where to purchase the turkey, so maybe I’ll go ahead and do it.

@Christina F, I have the same coupon for Pepsi. I am going to try it tomorrow, but it should work just fine!

  14. Ronni says

    11/20/2010 at 3:51 PM

I’m just very disappointed with this new program at Safeway, I think I’m going to find a new store to do most of my shopping.

  15. Charlene says

    11/20/2010 at 4:41 PM

Ronni I am getting pissed really. My husband bought Cheerios the other day that were $1.49 with Just 4 U and they came out at $4.99. Then he bought 2 Farmer John bacon and had 1 e-coupon that I loaded ages ago and $1 printable and they told him no. Then I bought the broth that was .99 and I was charged $3.99. It irritates the heck out of me that I have all these items to return because I would rather have a poke in the eye than pay $4 for a tiny box of cereal. The food items get thrown out and I have to spend 15 minutes of my life to deal with it. Really irritates me and I hope they can work out the kinks because I personally don’t have time to return things after every shopping trip.
