Here are two deals I wanted to mention for Tag Jr books right now. In my experience, it is easier to find deals on the Readers for both Tag and Tag Jr then it is to find them on the books.
Amazon has several Leapfrog Tag Jr titles on sale for $6. That is actually a better price than you can get with coupons right now. Shipping is free with Prime or Amazon Mom.
Also, at Target last night I noticed they have a holiday Tag Jr book available again for $4.99. This was in the Christmas display area not the toy area. There is a $2 off Tag Jr books coupon, but it is for books priced $7 or higher.
The upside is that there is also a coupon for $5 off a Leapfrog Tag Jr Reader on the book. I have not found any spectacular deals on the Tag Jr readers so far but if you are very lucky you might find one of the Toy Story 3 Tag Jr readers that Target has on clearance. One of my stores had them marked down to $19.99 several weeks ago. Another one of my stores had it priced on clearance for $27 yesterday.
I went ahead and jotted down the DPCI number: 204040047- so you can call your store and give them that number. They should be able to tell you the price and availability. If you find it for less than $20, I would probably grab it. Plus get the book in the Christmas aisle and that is basically free after the $5 coupon.
Yes! I saw the same deals on amazon.com for the books and ordered a couple but do you know if we can use the $10 off Target coupon on the Tag Jr.? I found the Toy Story 3 edition on clearance for $27 but forgot all about the coupon until I got home. Do you think the store will accept the coupon if I bring it in for an adjustment? Thanks!
Stel- whether or not it will work, I can’t say. But if they intended that coupon to be used on the Tag Jr- I don’t think so 🙂 I suppose you can ask and see what happens. If nothing else, you can at least get the $5 book and then see about a price adjustment for the $5 coupon on it.

I used the $10 coupon on the Toy Story Tag Jr. and got it for $10. Great deal!
I was able to use the $10 leap frog coupon on the jr. I got mine for $9.99. I think it depends on your cashier. Try it. What do you have to lose. Just say sorry. I thought that it was for that as well.

I just got the Toy Story Tag Jr. (the LAST one on the shelf!) today. It was priced at $27.99 and I was able to use the $10 Target coupon and the $5 manufacturers coupon to get it for $13! I was completely happy with that seeing as how other prices I’m seeing are only as low as $25. Thanks for alerting me/us to this great deal!
