Last week when I tried the spend $25 get $10 it was for after the coupons as opposed to before coupons. It was a huge mistake I made. I learned 2 things though. 1)it’s $25 AFTER coupons and 2(always use cash as it’s a whole lot easier to say NO THANKS! I love to learn new things but man why do some have to be expensive LOL
Michal David says
There was a @2 coupon for the huggies on coupon.com will it work with the sale or not? TIA
Charlene says
No Michal it will not because these are 64 ct tubs and that coupon is for 320 coupon wipes.
Charlene says
Cindy I am sorry but that is a policy that is for your store. That is certainly not the Walgreens policy as RR are always based on pre-coupon totals. You can try to call Walgreens customer service but they usually don’t get you very far. I have shopped at Walgreens with coupons for years and I have never had that issue once. I know there are random stores out there that just set policies as they see fit and there isn’t much to do about it except shop elsewhere.
Kerri says
For the Reach floss or toothbrushes, there is a coupon in the Safeway coupon book for $1.50/2
Heather S says
Charlene, is there anyway you can post your link to the sneak peak? Walgreens seems to have stopped sending my ad to my email. I’m not sure why
Vanessa says
Oh no guys! I had a terrible experience at one of my Wags last Friday and I called customer service and they took care of my complaint ASAP. I received an apology from the store manager (no joke!! They made him write me a letter!), a $10 gift card and a $10 RR that I was supposed to receive to begin with. I received all of this on Monday. I think they are starting to really make customers the #1 priority (Finally!) so I would definetly call. But Charlene is so right. They make up their own policies as they go along. Its a bunch of nonsense.
Charlene says
Heather I feel a little underwhelmed with this ad but here it is:
http://docs.google.com/Doc?docid=0AbMwA8v-b_nKZGRyY2p6NjNfNTI2ZDdocHJwZzY&hl=en
melody says
My arizona ad says the 12 pack pepsi products are 4 for $13. 4 for $8 after the $5 dollar register reward so a little bit different
Heather S says
Thank you Charlene!!!

How ’bout the Twizzlers RR… buy 2 for $3 get a $2 RR. There is a Twizzlers coupon out there (06-27-10 SS) but it’s for 3 bags.

Now I’m getting worried about this new card program here. I see over and over the rest of y’all getting RR when we get “10x bonus points” for things- such as the Wet Wipes/PLaytex/Schick deal. After 22 days I was finally able to see my account points. They have yet to add any bonus points AND (get ready) it’s all POST coupon amounts. I’m never going to get to the 2000 points ($200 spent) to get a lousy $5 gift card.
Rachel says
I went to WAGS around 11am. They were sold out of the socks, and foot blister med. One of the cashiers found a couple blistex smoothies for me. I told them I would just buy 1 since they only had 4. I bought it (with a few small items to use a RR). The $3 RR didn’t print… I guess they have had issues with this… the bar code that it’s working for is some bonus pack (not pictured in ad), but they don’t have that either. They refunded me the cash, and gave me my $4.50 RR back, so I was very happy in the end. Still bummed that someone wiped them out already… oh well, I get my share of deals.
liz says
Usually you have to give them the $10 of $25 before you give them your coupons and it should work.
Praznow says
Good morning,
I went wags yesterday and got 12 pks of the dentyne gum. But they were not for free. I gave them the manf first took off $1.00 then I gave them the wags coupon 99 Cents of three. I had to pay $.37 after tax for every three pks. They are not giving the whole credit of the 99 cents only 66 cents. Have you run into that? I see know one has posted how they did on the gum. I coupons left to get 18 more pks.LOL
Praznow says
Anybody having problems at walgreens with the dentyne gum deal. They are not giving full credit for there 99 cents coupon only 66 cents? Making the total 37cents
Charlene says
Praznow- did they explain to you why a .99 coupon was only credited for .66? I don’t see how they can do that since the coupon is a store coupon and you aren’t getting any overage?
Corinne says
I went to Wags this morning and a few deals were better than expected:
#1 – the Schick Titanium refills were bonus packs of 6 instead of the regular 4 for the same price. (works great for the $4 coupon and can go towards the buy $25 and get 10 RR, which DID work for me as a BEFORE coupon total)
#2 – The Hawaiian Tropic BOGO was awesome!!! They had bonus sizes (35% more free) for the same price as the regular size and they also had $2 peelies on many of them. I used 2 peelies and got 2 bonus sizes for only $6.79. A GREAT deal!
Catherine says
the only thing that my Wags had in stock today from the ad (& it’s only Monday) is the Crest Total Rinse one liter mouth wash for $4.99. I had a $2 off Q and you get a $2 RR. Look for the ones with the bonus pack (free smaller size included) if you need mouthwash. worked out to $1.43 for the two mouthwashes after the RR.
Luckily i found a 3 pack of No Nonsense pantyhose on sale for $3.19 (yes i do wear these daily) so got a use for the RR.
Totally disappointed that the shelves were bare but made some lemonade out of the lemons anyway.
thanks again for the site !! I will try and pass on as many tips as I can (Sacramento area shopper here).

I notice puff tissues on sale, if anyone still has the coupons we received from the Vocalpoint sample, there is a 1.00 off coupon to make them free along with several other .50 coupons that would make for one free box with in ad coupon of and 1.00 off or .49 with .99 in ad coupon and .50 manufacture coupon that came with the vocal point sample we received back in April I beleive.
Shannon says
Just back from Walgreen’s and I noticed they seem to have restocked the clearance aisle. They had the Lysol No Touch Dispensers on clearance for $7.49. There was a $5 coupon in the july booklet (cucumber scent) and I combined it with the $3 MQ (expires today) and got the overage!
Laura Andreasen says
They did not take my dentyne coupons either, saying that it is because it is supposed to be only on ONE pack of gum. Didn’t make much sense to me.
Amy says
If you have trouble finding the socks, make sure you check both the foot care aisle (by the insoles) and the hosiery section, near Beauty. My local Walgreen’s had them in both places, so I got a much better selection.
connie says
Hi Praznow and Charlene,
By the way Charlene, I’ve become a faithful follower of your site. Love it.
I wanted to comment about the Dentyne gum. Praznow, I had the same problem. But I had to pay .51 including tax for all 3. I was given only .66cents as well. I refused to buy the next 3 packs as I think their systems is terrible (and I told the manager+ rude cashier so). Oh and the reason why is, “it’s just our system, and we don’t adjust coupon down.” I told them if I buy these 3 pack of gum, they are now making more money off the coupon then they should by ripping me off. The manager understood what I said. I will not shop at Walgreens. Target will do.
Charlene says
Connie I hear ya 🙂 I wish I had a great Walgreens but I went tonight to get the Dr Scholl’s for Her and the cashier tried to tell me $9 after coupons. Um.. the item was $7.29 to start with. Then she got upset and told me I had to have a manager ring me up. I went to the young guy at the photo counter and was out the door in 10 seconds and paid .29 after coupons. I don’t know why they make things so difficult.
Lauren says
You gotta love the teenage boy cashiers! They scan the coupons and ask no questions!
Thanks for the match-ups Charlene!
