I have been trying to post this great deal all day, but sometimes the kiddos don’t cooperate with blogging!
Anyway, there is a Register Reward deal running at Walgreens all month- Spend $10 on select Hershey’s Chocolate and get a $5 Register Reward back.
Now the 8 pks of chocolate are on sale this week for .99 with in ad coupon. These are not supposed to be included in the promotion- but as of right now they ARE triggering the RR.
Here is an idea to score cheap chocolate:
Buy( 7) 8 packs of either Kit Kat or Reese’s only at $1.50 each
Use the in ad coupon and one coupon will deduct .50 for each of the 7 you buy
Total: $6.93
You should get a $5 Register Reward back making the net cost $1.93 for 7 packs or .28 per package
NOTE: The in ad coupon says limit 3 but it should deduct .50 per item. If for some reason it does not than you will pay .56 per package instead.
Also this is working as of today but it is a hidden deal so Walgreens can end the Register Reward at any time!
The ad says limit 3. In your experience are Wags ok with going over the limit?
I want to try this, but I don’t see that anyone else had success. My sister is having a candy bar at her wedding, and I already bought 60 full sized Hershey’s/Reese’s at Rite Aid, but this would help out even more!
Megan- Yes. They have those limits really to ensure one person does not come in and buy 462 candy bars and empty out the store. The cashier would actually have to intervene to prevent the coupon from deducting .50 for each item. You can certainly ask the store manager if it is OK to buy more than 3 and I am pretty sure they will be fine with that.
I did this deal tonight but my store made me buy 10 because the Register Reward would only print if I spent $10 after coupons but it was still a great deal for all that candy! I also got a ton of Old Spice body washes to donate and give to friends!
Haha, I’m sure the reference to buying 462 candy bars is directed towards me… I’ll take it. Good thing when I bought 60 candy bars it didn’t even make a dent in their supply at Rite Aid. Going to try this Walgreens deal today.
Rachel- we don’t judge in the MFA house because when it comes to cheap or free chocolate I am first in line ;P
Haha! I love it! The hardest part is that it’s for my sister’s “Candy Bar” at her wedding… I can’t eat any of it! xo — Coupon Yoda.
