Safeway: Free Scrubbing Bubbles!

scrubbing bubblesI wanted to test this deal before I posted and of course I totally forgot about it when I was at Safeway yesterday.

So here goes- if you have already tried this be sure to let us know if it worked for you:

Scrubbing Bubbles Power Sprayers are $6.99
The refills are $3.50
Use the $5/1 coupon from 4/11 SS
and use the free refill when you buy Scrubbing Bubbles HERE*
Final Price: $1.99 + tax

But remember there is a catalina deal for Scrubbing Bubbles right now! Buy 2 items and get a $2 cat back!ย  So you get both free after coupons and catalina!

The cat runs through 4/25 so you should have plenty of time to get this offer.

*There is also a deal at Target this week on Scrubbing Bubbles.ย  I heard from a few of you that you were not able to use both of these coupons together (which still baffles me) so fair warning if you have a very finicky store this might not work.ย  You can try purchasing (2) Power Sprayers at $6.99- use (2) $5/1 coupons and pay $3.98.ย  Then get a $2 cat (hopefully) back.

This can still be a moneymaker since you can submit the rebate HERE 3 times per household for $5 back when you buy 3 items.

Thanks Super Bob!

I was wondering if this would work because it seems like I’d be using two manufacturer coupons for the same item (the sprayer)?

I tried using two coupons on a similar transaction today at Walgreens. One was a BOGO and one was a $2/1. Cashier didn’t even attempt to scan them, she just refused the coupons. It baffles me too….. Ugh… It was a transaction I’ve done before, just different store. I guess I will stick to the one I know!

This worked for me today at Safeway. I used exactly what you suggested and it work!

Yes! It worked perfectly for me today, I bought 2 power sprayers and 2 refills and got a $4.00 cat. Somehow cleaning is just a little better when you use free supplies!

This works! I received the catalina coupon, as well. The checker was rude about my printables. Two did not scan and she refused them. They were legit and she was rude!

This is a matter of perception. I believe the coupon is for the refill. The value deducted by using the coupon is $3.50 which is not the price of the sprayer it is the price of the refill. But some people have been shot down. I think the majority of people have had success but I usually don’t hear from those that have no problems I hear from those that do have problems ๐Ÿ™‚ I talked to a few blogging buddies about this as well and none of them have had negative feedback from readers so that leads me to believe you should be fine.

I got the power sprayer and refill using the $5.00 and free refill coupons. I also got the scrubbing bubbles gel and toilet brush using the “buy a gel get the brush free” coupon as well as a $1 off the gel coupon. The catalina machine was broken (flashing red) so I had to tell the manager that a cat should print out. I did end up getting the $2.00 cat, but not sure if $4 would have printed out with the original transaction.

This deal worked perfectly for me yesterday at Safeway. Got two starter kits less the $5 coupon, and 2 refills for free and had a $4 catalina print. No issues at all, but it totally depends on the person. The safeways in my area are great! (Albertsons sucks for me) so it really is all a trade off.

Great deal, thanks for posting. Got two today for free with Cat I had already! Gonna try again tomorrow to see if this one will roll!

You are definitely using 2 man coupons on one item. This is not a fair transaction.
$5 off the power sprayer [this coupon is for the power sprayer]
Free refill when you buy the power sprayer [this coupon, also, is for the power sprayer]
Some may have been able to ”get away with it” but this is why couponing will be less & less accepted. I’m all for a good deal, been couponing since I was 14 yrs old, but this is simply not a fair deal. And if a checker doesn’t accept this transaction she definitely isn’t rude shes right.
I used the $5 off coupon and got the power sprayer for .99 cents at a past Walgreens sale. This stuff is good stuff. Will definitely buy it again. ๐Ÿ™‚

Thank you for your opinion Molly but I do not agree with you. I would not post something that was unethical or in any way an incorrect use of coupons. The value the coupon represents is for the refill. If the $5 coupon is taken out of the equation and the transaction looks like this:

    Sprayer $6.99
Refill $3.50- Use a free refill coupon

I am completely and utterly baffled at how that coupon is for the sprayer. This is exactly the same as using $ off coupons on a BOGO sale.

I agree with you completely, Charlene. Oh, and the deal worked for me perfectly today. ๐Ÿ™‚

I agree with you Charlene. I had a $ off coupon for Tide stain release and get it free with purchase of Tide detergent. The register at Safeway would not take both as it said it was for the same item. However it did accept a $ off coupon for the Tide detergent and the free Tide stain release with the purchase of the Tide detergent with no problem. I think this is a similar situation.

Is it me, or am I not able to find the free refill coupon on the Scrubbing Bubbles website? I only see the toilet cleaning gel and the auto shower cleaner coupons? Thanks!

It worked great for me. In fact today when I went in I got 2 sprayers 2 refills. Used 2 $5 coup., 2 free coup., doubles total was 2.98. Used catalina from last time and it printed out the $4 catalina and then 2 $3 catalinas and 2 $1 catalinas. So I walked out with $12 in catalinas and can still do the mail in rebate. Wow awesome money maker.

And you should see how clean the bathroom at my house is now ๐Ÿ™‚
