I’ve been having problems with the way the SmartSource coupons print. I just printed the crab coupon and it doesn’t have any wording on it. No, Save $1.00 on 1, or anything, just the crab meat picture and the barcodes. It did this to me several weeks ago when I tried to print a TreeTop apple juice coupon also. Any ideas? I’m reluctant to attempt to redeem them as I don’t want arguments….

Charlene – I went to Safeway today and there were coupons at the customer service desk for $1 any produce with minimum purchase of $5 in produce. You can take as many as you want. I was able to get 2 heads of lettuce, bag of grapes, two papayas and bananas for 1.79!! Also got 4 free soups, 2 free crabs, 2 super cheap lunchables and super cheap bratwursts. I’ll take a picture and email you the details this afternoon.

I went to Safeway today to get the crab and ice cream. The cashier told me that they have a new policy and can’t take coupons when the items becomes free. She then said they don’t take more than one of the same coupon. I tried to buy the Starbucks ice cream using three coupons and she said she could only accept one. Has anyone else had this problem? This was at the Chico Safeway on East Ave.
Amber sort of. I don’t know about the multiples issue but they do have a policy that is only enforced in some stores that they will not take an internet coupon for greater than 50% of the value of the product. So technically the $1 off coupon is one I could see an issue with. Personally, I would try again and find another cashier and see what they say. You may have just had bad luck today.
Amber/Charlene – I read on another blog, can’t remember where, that the policy about not accepting a coupon for greater than 50% of the items value is supposed to on the items normal/original value, not the sale price. If I remember right, it came from a shopper who called Customer Service after having issues.
