You can see Safeway’s coupon policy right HERE. Most stores will allow you to stack a manufacturer coupon with the store coupons that can be found in the weekly circulars. You will want to be sure to get a club card for Safeway to take advantage of the sale prices! Safeway sale prices tend to vary from region to region so you will always want to double check your local ad! Also, I do not have double coupons in my area so your prices are likely much better than mine!
NOTE: In ad coupons can be stacked at most stores with manufacturer coupons. They do require a minimum $10 pre coupon purchase!
Yeah! This is an excellent week at Safeway and I will surely be making a trip. Just a reminder to please double check your ad as prices do vary- especially on meat and produce!
There is an in ad coupon for a free tote bag when you spend $40. This should be precoupon totals- be sure to give this coupon first!

I have used the Real California dairy coupons (Real CA cheese, for example) on Lucerne products, regardless of whether or not they have the seal. They have always scanned through. I’m in the Bay Area.
Denise says
There is a $1/2 Lunchables cellfire coupon.
Denise says
Also, I know the Lucerne Monterey Jack cheese is Real CA. Not sure about the other types.
Mo says
I believe the lucerne cheese is Ca. Cheese, my stores lucerne cheese had peelie tags on it for ca. cheese.
Charlene says
Ok thanks Denise. I am not seeing it- was it from before?
Denise says
I added it today. I checked before I posted the comment since I wasn’t sure if I saw it on shortcuts or cellfire.
Dana says
There were some printable Safeway coupons for the Bright Green products on Safeway’s website, anywhere from $0.50 to $2 off. Do you know what the price of these products are and if the sale combined with coupons would be a good deal?
Randi says
When I was loading my ecoupons from P&G, I noticed I had one that was a “make good offer” from the Bounty and Charmin deal, and the ecoupons not working then. Do you know how these work exactly? I’m just wondering how we redeem a make good offer, or rather is is actually any good.
Charlene says
I haven’t seen that Randi so I am not sure what it means.
Rosanne says
I went to Safeway at 1am this morning (it’s a 24 hour store)and scored some really great deals. Our Safeway is actually cheaper than most. We are in Northern Cali and scored the green grapes for only 69 cents a pound! 🙂
monica says
I don’t see the cellfire coupon either, denise. maybe regional? bummer!
Shiree says
PLEASE HELP!!!! when can i print the Campbell’s Soup coupon again? it says i’ve reached print limit….please let me know when i can print again; and any other coupons that say i’ve reached print limit?
Charlene says
Shiree once you reach the limit you can’t print anymore unless you find a new computer. Check your 3/28 SS for more Campbell’s coupons.
Becca says
I also got some great deals at safeway this week by checking out the reduced priced rack usually located near the restroom entrance. I found loreal 360 facial cleanser marked 50% off of 5.99 (there were several of these, undamaged, not sure why they were reduced) and used the $1. off coupon!score. there was also sunsilk products, neutrogena, dove body wash…so head to the back of the store and look for your store’s mark-down rack
Lori Z. says
Everybody’s right about the Lucerne. Also, if you bring reusable bags is takes 10% off your Bright Green purchase. I think this will double up on the buy two get one free deal.
Jenell says
I went to Safeway tonight and a $1 Catalina printed when I bought 4 Pregos using the in add coupon. I also found small bottles of Star olive oil with $ 2 coupons attached. Combine this coupon with the $1 cellfire ecoupon and it was only $1.99. I was also pleased to find some Organics pasta on overstock clearnace for .69 cents!

I tried to do the mix and match ice cream deal where you get $3.00 off at the register along with the $2/2 Ben & Jerry e-coupon and a .75 Starbuck ice cream coupon, the $3.00 did not come off the bill and they said that even though the items I purchased were the advertized items on the sticker on the freezer window they would not honor it.
I bought the Huggies with the in ad coupon, but my $3.00 e-coupon did not come off for some reason.
Also they would not allow me to do the free tote bag coupon since I did not spend 40.00 in groceries, but 50.00 all together, cleaners and hygiene included.
Charlene says
Oh man you had a terrible trip Jennifer! I would have given it all back and asked for a full refund :P. The $3 did not come off for me either but they were priced at $1.79 each so I felt like I still got a steal. I made my husband test the deal and buy 3 Starbucks and 3 B&J and they each rang up at $1.79 minus the ecoupons it was about $6 total or $1 a pint.
Michael says
I’ve been out of town on vacation for the past 10 days and just got back today to find that my local Safeway checker (Chico, CA)is no longer accepting more than a single coupon of a given type per transaction, so for instance, I bought 5 of the Post cereals on sale for 1.50 each when you buy 5, and I tried to use two save 1.00 on 2 Posts. She only accepted one of them – same thing on some Yoplait yogurts. When I questioned this, she flipped right to a page in her checker’s book dated two years ago that said to only take one coupon of any given type! Has anyone else had this problem? I understand their printed coupon policy, but these were regular Qs clipped from the newspaper! If this represents a policy change, I won’t be shopping there anymore. Was this a fluke?
