Random Musings of My Life popped into Walgreens today and discovered the store brand diapers were marked down to $2.29 for a jumbo pack. Now clearance will vary tremendously from region to region but you might give your store a call and see if you get lucky.
Charlene, do you use cloth diapers? I just started reading your blog and I love it but I’m surprised I haven’t seen any cloth diaper posts! BIG money saver!

Not my thing Alicja. There is a sweet deal on diapers.com though for cloth diapers. Basically you just follow the scenario here for Seventh Generation except substitute cloth diapers. They actually have a sale on Fuzzi Buns right now. Once it is said and done get 50% off or more on cloth diapers and refills.

I originally went to Walgreens last night to purchase 2 Huggies Pull Ups and one diaper for a daughter who has a 2 year old and is expecting soon. It was a good deal after the $3 off from the Walgreens Children’s Activity book coupon, 3-$2 off mfg coupons and the $5RR. I put her choices for her purchase in my cart and then noticed that there were Huggies Pull Ups on clearance for $2.89 each. They had limited sizes and only girls, so I could not get them for this pacticular daughter’s needs, but I did pick up some for 2 other granddaughters. I purchased another Activity Book to get the extra $3 off and used my last $2 off Pull Ups mfg coupon, making for a very good deal. Then I noticed the Walgreen brand diapers were on clearance for $2.19 each, so with 5 grandkids in diapers and/or pull ups and another on the way I cleaned them out of the clearance ones.
When I paid I did my one daughters purchase for the regualar Huggies first and received the $5RR as expected. But then I paid for all the clearance diapers and the 3 Huggies Pull Ups they had on clearance and lo and behold I got another $5RR for the 3 Huggies. I did not think that would happen since they were on clearance. In the end I figured that after the $3 off Activity book coupon, my last $2 off mfg coupon for Pull Ups and the $5RR, I only paid $.09 for all 3 clearanced Pull Ups, even figuring in the price of the activity book and tax. It could have been even better if I would have had more manufacturer coupons for the Pull Ups, but I did not want to go home and print them, and I figured it was a good enough deal as it was. I came home with 8 packs of diapers and 5 packs of Pull Ups and made all my daughters happy with my deals.

Got (9) size 5 walgreen jumbo packs for $2.19 a piece! Also, I got Walgreen 94 black ink for my HP printer for $4/ cartridge. My Walgreens had a ton of stuff clearanced out.
I also got three pull-ups on clearance here in Modesto for $3.19 a piece -(3) $2/1 coupon = $1.19 each!! Didn’t even think to use the Activity book Q! I bought a pack of WAGS newborns for $2.19 as a filler, paid with a $3 RR, so $3.69 after tax and got back $5 RR!!!! WAHOO!
Thanks for the tip! I was able to snag 2 packs and get 2 bottle of the Purex laundry detergent (using the BOGO coupon – expires today) all for under $5!!! What a deal.
WOW , I need to check this out. I love making baskets for baby showers with a bunch of stuff , this would be perfect since I have one coming up. Now I gotta find an inexpensive (but nice) wedding gift because I have one of those coming up too.
Thanks for the tip!! I bought out all the size 4s they had (4 packs). I would have bought the size 5s if they had any left, but they were gone. I bought the only Pull Up left on clearance and used my $2 off coupon and the Activity Book $1 off coupon…spent $10 total for everything…and used my free Excedrin coupon as well. 🙂

I have three walgreen all near me, and each store had diffent sizes on sale, I got sizes one-four! each at $2.19!! I now have enough diapers to last me a few months! Just a baby not to long ago, and I am so exicted to have saved so much money!!
Found Wal Greens diapers sizes newborn to 2 clearanced at my store. Everything in larger sizes were still regular price. Bummer…my little guy is in size 3!
My store only had the newborn diapers left on clearance. My little sister is having a baby in May, so I stocked up for her. I think I might make a diaper cake for her shower! What a great tip!
The pull ups on clearance, at the 4 stores that I went to, were the cool alerts – but stacked with the q’s and the already low price these are an awesome deal!
I talked to the mgr about the Wags diapers, and they are switching to a different package color so they had to clearance out the old white bags. He said to watch for them to continue to be marked down everywhere. We have been using the wags diapers, size 3, over the wknd and they seem to be working just fine.
