Here is the Walgreen’s for Beginner’s for the week of 3/7. The idea is to provide a fairly basic transaction that a new couponer can do to start saving some serious money on personal care items! You can read about Walgreens right over HERE and see this week’s list of deals HERE.
I have a beginners and intermediate idea this week:
Beginners:
Buy 1 John Frieda Shampoo or Conditioner $5.99
Use $2/1 Walgreens coupon from the March coupon book
and Use $3/1 Shampoo or Conditioner from 3/7 SS
Final Price: .99
*You can get hair care products free at the drugstores frequently but this is a very good price if you are a fan of John Frieda.
Intermediate:
Reach Floss or Toothbrush, Listerine Pocket Paks, Total Care or Advanced Mouthwash 8.45 oz 3/$9*
{Deal Idea}
Buy 2 Reach Toothbrushes
Buy 1 Reach Floss
Subtotal $9
This is an example of how the order you hand over coupons can make a big difference. I would recommend giving the coupons in this order:
Use Buy One Get One Free Reach Toothbrush from 1/3 RP (will deduct full value of $3 off)
Use $1 off Floss from 1/3 RP
Use in ad coupon for $5.01 off
Final Price: Free (Just pay tax!)
Come back and let me know how it goes for you!

I know it’s kinda late in the week and it may just be at my Walgreens but for the Reach Floss/Toothbrush deal, I couldn’t use the B1G1 free Toothbrush coupon because it was only for the single toothbrushes and Walgreens 3/%9 deal was for the double toothbrush packages even though the picture in the ad clearly shows a single toothbrush. So I just used the B1G1 free floss coupon and bought two floss and a double toothbrush and just paid the $1 which I thought was a pretty good deal (I had already used my $1 off coupon).
