Well here is a great deal at Walgreens:
The Vick’s Plug Ins Waterless Vaporizer is on sale for $5
They also have refills on sale for $5 each
Remember there is a $10 Register Reward when you spend $20 in Vicks products- so the math looks like this:
Buy 1 Plug in at $5
Buy 3 refills at $5 each
Use (4) 1.50 off any Vick’s product from 2/21 P&G or 3/7 P&G
Use (2) Free Puffs when you buy 2 Vicks coupons from 2/7 P&G
Final Price: $14 + tax and get a $10 Register Reward back
So the net price is $1 per item- pretty great deal!

Just wondering, usually at Walgreens, when you have to spend a certain amount to get a RR, it has to be after coupons or so I have been told there. So when you take off the coupons, you need to add more things to bring it back up to the $20. I had to do that for the pepsi/snack one awhile ago. Is this true?
I did this deal yesterday with the Dayquil/Nightquil products. Do you think I can use the RR for this deal, since technically, it’s a different product?
Typically it is BEFORE coupons because coupons are considered a form of payment. Now there are a ton of Walgreens stores that make up their own rules and if your store decides that is what they want than there isn’t much you can do except just don’t shop there. I have not found Walgreens corporate to be helpful at all and they typically just refer you back to the store level. I virtually never shop Walgreens anymore because my store is a real stinker.
Kahra I don’t think so. RR are so particular. Typically you can not roll the RR on a product from the same manufacturer. I have had it work for me in the past but I wouldn’t take a chance on such a high value reward.
Kahra,
I’ve NEVER had it work on products from the same Manufacturer….you can read the RR to find out the company. That’s part of the challange to using RRs.
Kathy,
I have also found that the total is BEFORE coupons at my store. Usually makes for some really good deals with coupons.
I went to two different walgreens today and had problems using those coupons on those specific products above. The scanner beeped every time. It worked for cough syrup, just not the vapor pads. The second store I went to entered the coupon manually, but then after the transaction the cashier said it was probably because of the RR that it was beeping. I don’t think that makes sense at ALL since it was only beeping for the vapor pads. I’m new to couponing/drug stores and I’m quickly realizing that walgreens is not worth the trouble unless it’s a really good deal like this one. I’m planning to use this RR for pull-ups when that deal comes around. Can I use a RR to pay for those and still get the RR for the pull-ups?
No Jennifer you have to be very careful with RR. To be perfectly honest I used to love Wags as well but now I don’t have the mental energy to mess with RR very often ๐ You can not roll Register Rewards to purchase the same items again- you might check out Drugstore 101 at the top of the blog and read up on Walgreens. Did you have equal numbers of items to coupons? That may have been why it beeped as well.
