Ok not really.  You guys know me too well to go ENTIRELY without coupons but I barely used any this week!  So here goes:

shopping trip

Ok I feel like I really got a lot today.  I spent $50 almost on the nose between 3 stores:

SAFEWAY: $31.00

5 Boxes Fruit Snacks $1 each- used (2) .50/2 coupons & a .50/2 ecoupon came off
Kellogg’s Fruit Snacks $2.00- used $1.50 coupon
Evaporated Milk .99
Enchilada Sauce $2.39
2 boxes Orzo pasta .99 each
Organic Vegetable Broth $3
Fiber One Yogurt $2.50- somehow 2 e-coupons came off plus I used a $1 coupon
Bacon on clearance .99
80% Lean Ground Beef $1.49/lb (my stock up price)- $5.80
Granny Smith Apples $1.79
Russet Potatoes 1.07
Bell pepper $1.50
Shallot .06
Strawberries $1.50
Mushrooms .99
4 bags of Broccoli and Cauliflower .99 each
Organic Fresh Dill $1.99
Blue Cheese $2.99

I also used a $3.50 catalina from last time and got another $3.50 catalina back. See the coupon match ups HERE.

WALGREENS: $6.00

Bought 2 bags of 5lb flour for $1.50 each- used .75/1 coupons
Popsicles .90 per box on clearance
Healthy Choice Ice Cream $1.09 on clearance
Tony’s Pepporoni Pizza Roll .32 on clearance
Mrs Smith’s Apple Pie $1.29 on clearance

TARGET: $13.00

4 packages Morningstar $2.99- used (2) $2/2 coupons
Got a $5 gift card and paid $2.96

Transaction #2:
4 Coffeemate Creamers at $1.57 each- used 1 .50/1 coupon
3 Spanish Rice at 1.14 each
Eggs (not pictured) $1
Paid $5 after gift card.

I did see quite a few deals at Target that I will be posting soon!

So I guess you can still save money without coupons by just sticking to what is on sale. I didn’t think I would be able to buy enough without coupons to stock up but I actually did.  The Coffeemate is the lowest price I see and I have enough to last at least 6 weeks.  The ground beef will last several weeks. The rice we can make 3 meals out of.  The fruit snacks will last awhile as will the Morningstar.  And the extra veggies I will either puree and freeze or just freeze for future meals.

You can see what I plan to make with this stuff this week HERE.

Where is the morningstar Q from? I was really wishing for one of those today when I was at Kroger!

I found booklets with them at Raleys several weeks ago. They look like this:

I found $2/1 at Safeway a long time ago and then recently $2/2.

    Charlene,

Was the 80% ground beef at Safeway a surprise? I don’t see it advertised. If so then I need to get in there before Wed!!! That is a great price!

You know I thought I was crazy or senile! I didn’t remember it being advertised either! So it was a surprise and there were signs on the front door. You might call your store to check because it might have been a special promo at that store.

The ground Beef was advertised in a wrap-around on my Sunday paper. I still need to go get my supply as well 🙂

I’m curious about the Target OOP, did you use the GC they “just” gave you? I have never been allowed to do that. I was told that it had to be used for future purchases.

I did two transactions so that I could take the gift card and use it on the second purchase.
