SF chron

Someone was just asking me about this from San Francisco and now I can’t think who it was.ย  Anyway, if you are in the SF area I would JUMP on this offer to get the Chronicle for $18 for a year!!ย  I get the Sac Bee for $20 per year and have three subscriptions at that price.

Reader Shawnee found a link HERE to get the Bee for the same price I pay!

Thanks Julia!

I subscribed twice, once at my house and once at my mom’s. They won’t let you do two at the same address, bummer ๐Ÿ™ But this is a GREAT price!

Charlene, how do you get three Sac Bees for $20? Is that all week long or just Sundays-only? I only want Sundays, but only ever see deals for full weekends. Just curious.

I’m in the Sacramento area as well. How do you get the Sac Bee for only $20 per year??? That’s a great deal!

How do you have the Sac Bee for $20 a year?

Funny- I guess ya’ll pay more for papers. If you head up to coupon resources there is a promo code to get the Sac Bee for $19.95 a year for just Sunday. I did that the first time and then when it came time to renew they tried to tell me $60. I asked for a manager and told them I wanted 3 papers for just Sunday and they honored the $20 price again.

Thanks for the link Charlene! I can’t believe this deal – going to BEG them to let me subscribe to a couple more deliveries. They’ve so far been incredibly strict with the 1 per house subscription. Is it sad that I’m thinking about signing up the vacant house next to us? ๐Ÿ™‚

I called this morning after signing up for it online last night and they said I am not in the system yet so they are unable to say whether or not I can have more than one subscription (They said no, but then said I can call back after I start receiving the paper and try for another copy then). I lightbulb just went off though. They said I am not in the system since I did it online. I wonder if I can call back and sign up for a new subscription and get both of them??? Hmmm…

I received a similar offer in with my grocery ads today for the San Jose Mercury News. $5 for 13 weeks or $10 for 26 weeks. There isn’t a web address but the phone # is 1-800-218-5144 says to ask for the ADVO 5 special. I guess us Bay Area shoppers are finally in luck for something ๐Ÿ™‚ A Good price on the Sunday papers is definitely a good start to couponing!

The ad says that it is the #1 Coupon Source but I beg to differ, if you are looking for the most coupons the San Fran Chronicle has more of the Smart Source coupons but on the newsstand was sometimes missing the RedPlum (when included also had more than the San Jose Mercury RedPlum), I will have to see if they both arrive with the subscription, personally I now have subscriptions to both as when I was doing side by side comparisons the San Fran has more coupons (if you get all the inserts in it) but the Mercury has a few different ones so it makes sense for me to get them both, especially at such a great price since I was paying at least $4 a week for the papers anyways!
