Safeway Procter and Gamble Deal!

P&G at sfwy

I mentioned this deal with some scenarios in the Safeway post HERE but I thought I’d highlight it separately as well because this seems like a great deal to me.

Spend $25 in Proctor and Gamble items and get a $10 catalina back.

You can do this once per transaction and the $25 should be based on your pre-coupon total.  If you decide to do 2 transactions (to total $50) you can also submit for the $100 coupon book HERE!)

The ad does not specify which items are included in the sale- so you will want to look for the specially marked tags in your store to verify the items are included!  It looks like this might JUST be cleaning products which isn’t nearly as exciting.  I will update as soon as I can with what I find!

EDITED:  It is just cleaning products and batteries and such which to me is not very exciting to say the least.  I do not have a master list of exactly what is included so you need to look for tags in your store to see all the participating items.

I have a few ideas below but I’d also like to hear what you guys have planned!  Leave a comment with your scenarios and I will try to hit Safeway soon to get a few more prices and deal ideas.

**The Crest Toothpaste that is .24 after coupon should also be included in this promo!

It looks like it is very selected products that are included in the catalina deal. I went today and looked online, and the Olay, Febreze, Pampers, or Crest aren’t included. It’s only specific cleaners like Dawn, Cascade, and stuff like that.

Ok thanks Emily! I am going to go myself and look!

Yeah, Emily’s right. I bought Pampers and Dawn. It was enough ($25.45) to be at $25 so either it’s after coupons (which doesn’t seem to be what they usually do on Catalina deals) or Pampers isn’t included. *sadness* lol

Well did you notice the tags? Because if they have tons of items in the promotion there is a good chance it just isn’t updated in your store’s system properly! You can always call catalina and see if they will mail you the cat 🙂

The tags didn’t say it was part of it. (Shoulda been my first hint, huh?….but we’re moving and I am on little sleep) In retrospect, the tags are VERY clearly marked..like one Dawn is part of the promo but another one next to it that’s a different scent is not. Ah well, good that I tested it out for us all! 😉

I was leary because the ad didn’t specify the items. Boo! I think the dog food might still be a good deal. Otherwise $25 is a lot to spend on cleaning products.

Yea, I had a hard time finding very many products at my store yesterday that were included. It would have rocked if Pampers were!! Oh well.

Quick question, I know a lot of the participating deals w/ the P&G have ecoupons, do we have to have the $25 after ecoupons (I know it’s not after paper mfc’s). Not sure exactly how it works w/ Safeways system. Hope that wasn’t confusing!

Kelly it should be your pre coupon amount. What I would do just to be safe is wait until your cashier goes through and rings every thing up to scan your club card. So you will for sure have a $25 total then you scan your card and the e-coupons come off.

Ty so much Charlene!! That’s a very good idea 🙂
