2 Free Purex at Walgreens

purex mt breeze

There looks to be a great deal all month at Walgreens.  The 32 load Mountain Breeze detergent is on sale through 3/27-  Buy One at $5.99 and Get One Free.

So if you use the BOGO coupon from the 2/21 RP you should be able to get both for free.

Keep in mind that some cashiers will not allow a BOGO coupon on a BOGO sale.  I personally have always had good luck at Walgreens with this.

If you are planning a trip it is worth a try!

Since when can anyone use a bogo coupon on a bogo sale? Sounds like fraud..Especially considering you aren’t “buying” anything. lol -Am I reading this wrong?

Yes that is not fraud and you can absolutely do that. I happen to be an honest person and I would never recommend something on this blog that is unethical and fraudulent. If you head over to read the coupon policy for Rite Aid you can see the corporate policy actually allows for it clear as day in writing. Walgreens does not have a nicely written coupon policy so this deal is going to depend on the cashier.

Awesome!! I have been wanting to stock up on detergent. I got all tonight at Kroger for $1.49 as it’s on sale for 3.49 and I used the $2 off coupon, same with whisk. Also did the deal you posted in the weekly CVS for gain! This is even better, Thanks for posting it and you are way more patient than I 🙂

I was SO mad last week when I did not get this coupon! I checked and my Walgreens is also doing this, so I headed over to Ebay to order some up so I can take advantage of free Purex. Can’t wait for the mailman to come!

Thanks for this info.. Can’t wait to hit wags..Love free detergent!

And to Juliana.. Fraud is a harsh word, and Charlene would never suggest anything illegal!! you can definitely use a bogo q on a bogo sale.. you are “paying ” for one with a q . I have done this many times with out a problem though some people report having to purchase 3 paying for 1 getting 2 free 🙂

Looks like a regional deal. Our houston flyer does not have B1G1 purex. It only has a different deal on purex sheets.

I scored 6 Purex for FREE! Yay!! I so happy! 🙂

Charlene is right. No fraud involved. The manufacturer pays for one, and the store pays for one.

Also, all scents of Purex are included in the Mega Saver BOGO. I just got some yesterday. My store had three different kinds and all were included.

I know it’s hard to believe, but the store gets PAID still, Juliana. They get reimbursed for the full values, plus handling on coupons. The store give you the value of one bottle for free and the manufacturer gives you the value one bottle for free. The store still gets their money (I like to think of coupons as cash when explaining how they work). I love BOGO sales, since you can pair them with many different kinds of coupons and get items for free or extremely cheap (nearly free). It would be the same result if we paired a BOGO sale like this with 2, $3/1 coupons. Many store policies state you can use coupons on each item in a BOGO sale, since you a buying 2!

I’m always afraid to try things like this at Walgreens…they are such sticklers about coupons and nothig but older women work at the one near me. WISH they had their coupon policy online! I might try it anyway…all they can do is say no, right? I’ve done this at Kroger with razors with no problem, most stores allow it. Wags probably does to, the just have ignorant cashiers sometimes who seem to take it personally when you get something for free there!

Suchi this is not advertised in anyone’s flyer. It is a month long sale at every store so just head on in and you should see tags. If not just ask them to scan the bottles.

I’ll try thiis but can guarantee that most of them will be gone from people buying 10 bottles at a time.

You are totally right Cat. It is month long though so hopefully everyone get get the deal. I don’t have those coupons handy but I seem to remember they expire 3/7?

Wow People are being really nasty today.. calling people shelf clearers and insinuating fraudulent coupon use…

Just FYI Cat.. my store had over 30 of these after i bought my 10… Hope your store is as well stocked and that you get plenty too 🙂

For those of you who cannot get the Walgreen’s deal, consider doing this scenario at Rite Aid by Sat: Watch the video values and print the Purex $2 off RA coupon, purchase 2 items about $7 each, add a filler like a Carefree or Kotex which you have the $1 coupon for, total about $15. Use the $3 off of 15, BOGO Purex, 2 of the $2 off RA video values coupons, $1 off pantiliner coupon and you pretty much pay tax and get 3 items! Plus, they won’t be out of stock most likely and won’t have trouble with the coupon. Good luck!

We cant use mountain rain due to allergies~I used my Q’s last week on the 2.99 32load of Purex F&C and I was able to snag 10 with some still on the shelf for others…this should hold our family of seven for a while!

Thanks Charlene for all you do!

I stopped at Walgreens on my way home from work. I was a little scared to do all 5 of my coupons together, but it worked! 10 bottles of detergent for $1.75!!!

I tried today at Walgreens no go, the lady said I would have to get 3 so that I would actually be buying one. She said since the coupon says “buy one” it would be illegal if I got both for free. Can you believe she said illegal. I just said, ok and didn’t buy the purex. I am thinking it is better to get 2 big 96 oz bottles for $8 at Target, $4 a bottle? I like Target and Rite Aid much better mostly because they take all my coupons and the gift card in Target never expire and you get an actual check from Rite aid for cash back. I sometimes forget about my register reward at Walgreens and then they expire (stupid me, I know).

I know. I am in the same boat with a stinky Wags. I pay more to not have to deal with hassle 🙁 If you go to Target look for mail in rebates on the bottles on bottles of fabric softener too.

I just wanted to say “THANKS” for clearing all the confusion up about this! I didn’t understand how this could work, but once I did I ran out to the closest 4 (yes it took four to find any left). The cashier was a little grouchy about it, but I kindly explained to her and her mngr that I had already been to 3 other stores, and that if need be, I would gladly go and get my husband and children from the car and we would each do a transaction if they needed me too. (They did ask why I needed that much soap, lol – umm, we are a family of 9, that’s why.) Finally they agreed to do it, and I was able to get 8 bottles for tax. Plus there were still a ton left! We can only use Purex Hypo Allergenic in the wht bottle so I am SUPER excited about this!
