I think the Leapster is a great product. I bought my nephew one when he turned 4 he’s 5 now and he still carries his bag containing his leapster and all his games. Games vary from teaching you how to read, spell, and math etc etc. Great learning tool. In fact he still asks for new games all the time. Mary:)

I bought one for my daughter when she was 4 and one for my son when he was 2. They both just played to be playing on them, but eventually started playing for real and answering questions correctly. They love their Leapsters. Only downside – it drinks batteries like crazy, and the rechargable battery pack costs as much as the Leapster itself. SO stock up on batteries if you buy one!!

Truthfully Raeme, let your child play along with you on your computer. Our 5 year old is doing computers in his kindergarten classroom and he is getting awesome at it. Our 4 year old is also getting pretty savvy. It will prep your child for what’s ahead in life. 🙂 We had Leap Pads and they lost their novelty right away. We are going Wii for Christmas, thanks to grammie and papa. Good luck!
