Just a heads up that Amazon will have a sale on Black Friday with the top 10 magazines of the year for just $5!!  You can see the list right HERE but my two favorites for sure are Real Simple and Southern Living at Home.

I ordered Southern Living with Swagbucks the last time it was $5 and I have been surprised at how much I like it!  They have some great recipes.

Also, Real Simple has been packed with great stuff lately too.  Fun coupons and rebate offers.  I look forward to Real Simple more than All You these days (gasp!)

So don’t worry- I will remind you and you will have until December 1st to get your orders in.

I just ordered the SI for Kids subscription for my classroom…GRRRR! Paid full price for it too! You think they would be willing to give me a break since I paid almost 7X the Black Friday price for it a week ago?? LOL…thanks for letting us know about the deals although it is a little annoying when deals like this come along a week or two too late 🙂 My classroom dollars are precious ~ $5 would have been much easier on the budget than $35 was. In any event, I love your site and will continue to use it daily.

Julie I would email them right away and see if you can cancel. Maybe!

Odd. I added several magazines to my cart but the price never went down to $5. Anyone else having this problem?

Shelly- the sale doesn’t start until the day after Thanksgiving. I just wanted to post a heads up for those that were interested.

OK, I am new to swagbucks and I just redeemed some for a $5 amazon gift card to use on the black friday magazine sale. Can you explain how to redeem them?

April you can log into your account and then order what you want and the first step of checkout you will see a box on the left side that says something like promotional cards/ gift certificates- you just cut and paste the code there and it will apply a balance to your account. Then when you check out the balance automatically comes off your order. So one Swagbucks card redeemed will make your total 0 on one of the magazines.

So the code will be on amazon.com not on swagbucks.com?

No the code is on Swagbucks when you go to the my gift cards section and you cut and paste that code (which is like 10 digits) into your Amazon account.

Leann, They pulled the list down for some reason. I remember Cosmo, Real Simple, Food and Wine, SI for Kids, Southern Living and that is all I can think of. You will have the 27-1st to place your order so you can take a day to think about it before you need to order. Also- you can use any means you like to pay through Amazon and shipping is free on magazines!

Are there certain number of subscriptions they are offering or all 10 magazine until 12/1 are $5? I ask because my Swagbucks do not become available until 11/30!

Ok I am hopefully wrong but the major drawback to Swagbucks is that they take ages to come through. So you are cutting it close and I HOPE they do come on the 30th for you. Have you gotten into Expo? That is a super fast way to get Amazon cards and they are in your inbox within minutes of requesting. I am sure Amazon would be happy for you to buy as many as possible from them 🙂

What is Expo? We are a little slow here in Ohio! 🙂

You can read about it here:

Basically it is Swagbucks on steriods- you get gift cards to a ton of places in exchange for doing video reviews of products. Or you can get free products in exchange for doing videos. It is really fun and the points rack up FAST. If you sign up today I bet you have $25 to Amazon by Black Friday. Just get crackin on the videos.
